"getting it"

I am thankful that more and more Doctors are "getting it"...some maybe just "baby steps". I won't take the meds he mentions because of all the side effects. I have had trouble with meds and being super sensitive to them. It is nice having a doctor go public, for those of us who have been made to feel "less than human" or have been somewhat traumatized by the "unkind words" of a "knowing" physician.

Yep! Sadly, if most doctors can't figure out a problem that someone has, they will label the person with a "mental" issue. Most of them will never admit that they "just don't know". I pray that you are able to find relief in some form!

Deby, Just listened to the video. I am like you ~ I am super-sensitive to meds. I mostly take natural products. Of course, being a diabetic doesn't help, but when I was in Arkansas I went to a natural/chiropractor. First he told me my thyroid med was not working. I got on natural thyroid and a natural supplement for my pancreas. I can tell you, my blood sugars have come down. As for the fibro. I guess I'll take it one day at the time and learn as I go. It helps to be able to have someone to be able to point the way. Thanks.

Thanks Deby. I was officially diagnosed with fibro in Jan. 09. I had to resign my beloved job because of it. I do take the Savella and Ibuprofen. They help somewhat. The Lyrica was horrid. I only tried it for a couple of weeks. The weather also affects my fatigue and I am considering a 6-month move to Arizona. Love and prayers, Alice

Deby, I have been praying for you. Having to watch my mother suffer for so many years really enlightened me to a condition I would not understand otherwise. They did all sorts of tests on her and decided she needed to see a psychiatrist. Then they told her to take heavy duty pain medicine on a continual basis. She refuses, because of the side effects, and because of what they do to her mind.

I wish I could watch that video, but our internet is naughty and won't let us.

my aunt has it too Deby. It's similar to my RA in that people can't see what you're feeling inside. Let's keep on praying for each other! :)
