Thank you--Happy thanksgiving

Thank you for all the sweet words, I am overwhelmed at
your love for me and my family. Most of us have never met,
I feel like I know most of you though, your sweet spirit and love for
the Lord, comes through *loud and clear*
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
I will be with my sisters and Lorin's wife
This is a recent picture that I will always treasure.
1 Thessalonians 5:18
In every thing give thanks:
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Miss you already, Lorin

Born November 24th
Graduated to HEAVEN November 24th.
My youngest brother
Husband of Brooke, twin of Lisa
He is having a sweet reunion with our parents and our other brother Billy.
I miss him already, we are sad but KNOW he is in Heaven.
HE is whole, and not in pain.
Thank you to my sister, Susie who gave him
round the clock Hospice Care,
she tenderly cared for him like no other could.
Lorin was surrounded by many of us who loved him
as he passed over to Heaven.
Our hearts are heavy
BUT we KNOW where he is.
Lorin is in Heaven
we, who are still here on earth,
will mourn our loss but rejoice in his graduation day.
Job 1:21
And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb,
and naked shall I return thither:
the LORD gave,
and the LORD hath taken away;
blessed be the name of the LORD.

The law is the law

This is long I know, but will give you something to think about.

So Be It!
So " if " the US government determines that it is against the
law for the words "under God" to be on our money, then,
so be it.
And " if " that same government decides that the
"Ten Commandments"
are not to be used in or on a
government installation, then,
so be it.
I say, "so be it," because I would like to be a
law abiding US citizen.
I say, "so be it," because I would like to think that
smarter people than I are in positions to make good decisions.
I would like to think that those people have the
American public's best interests at heart.
Since we can't pray to God, can't Trust in God and cannot post His Commandments in Government buildings ,
I don't believe the Government and its
employees should participate in the
Easter and Christmas
celebrations which honor the God
that our government
is eliminating from many facets of American life.
I'd like my mail delivered on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter.
After all, it's just another day.
I'd like the "US Supreme Court to be in session on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter as
well as Sundays." After all, it's just another day.
I'd like the Senate and the House of Representatives
to not have to worry about getting home for the "Christmas Break."
After all it's just another day.
I'm thinking that a lot of my taxpayer dollars could be saved,
if all government offices & services would
work on Christmas, Good Friday & Easter. It shouldn't cost any overtime since those would be just like any other day of the week
to a government that is trying to be "politically correct."
In fact....
I think that our government should work on Sundays
(initially set aside for worshipping God...)
because, after all, our government says that
it should be just another day....
What do you all think????
If this idea gets to enough people, maybe our elected
officials will stop giving in to the "minority opinions"
and begin, once again, to represent the "majority"
of ALL of the American people.
SO BE IT...........
Please Dear Lord,
Give us the help needed to keep you in our country!
'Amen' and 'Amen'

Dinner and quilting at Rose's--ADDED more at the end

This is my sweet friend, Rose.
She is teaching me the basics of crazy quilting.
She arranged this get together without big planning.
She had the time, could we come over for lessons and dinner?
My answer, "YES"
She is so talented and patient.

Step by step...oh this is fun. I hand sewed it, which I loved.
Rose has such a gentle, kind way she radiates her love of the Lord.
She is an example to me.

Do you notice the China ?
She uses it EVERYDAY
I think that fact alone affected me so much.
Life is short
or....... Whatever you are *saving*

A collage she made from cards and this and that
hanging in her bathroom. I love it.
This was the best time that I have had since we have moved here.
I felt like I was in a Grace Livingston Hill book.
My husband and her beloved husband talked for hours, they *clicked* too.
Ladies, this was more of a last minute type invitation,
we had leftovers, her house was not immaculate, time flew
the sweetness of her home and her
hospitality and sweet heart
were an example to me.
I have much to learn as a 50 something lady.
We were there over 6 hours
It seemed like minutes.
I came home with a quilt block done(another post)
I came home with scraps for another
then last night at church she found some more fabric scraps that she thought I would like.
I am so thankful
Rose, an example of a Proverbs 31 woman.
I have much to learn
Praying the Lord will provide a Rose for you too.
You will be blessed.
Today I read a great post by Mrs. Julie Fink
I feel it really goes with mine
and would love for you to take a minute and go read it.
I would have to say that indeed, Rose is a very WISE woman
btw...giveaway is just down a couple posts.
Today is the last day..I will pick names later.

my week-sort of

Well, I am so blessed that my husband is taking some more vacation time off this week. He had so much saved up, he didn't have much choice.
We love spending time together and even though there are no grandiose plans it will be wonderful having him home.
We *might* put our Christmas stuff up. There are no rules on this.....come on..no groans...
I have scaled back so much and we do have some DRY days coming, so WHY NOT, I ask?
I have an appt. this week. You might guess from the photo what it is...all I am going to say is :
"eewwwww-YUCK"....although I am thankful as this, like the mammorgram is something that saves lives.
So...not a very homemakey or spiritual kind of post, just a peek into our life this week....any plans going on for you that you want to share?

Dog advice for our new prez-elect

Lightening up this morning.
Our new president elect has promised his daughters a dog if he won.
I think that is a great idea.
I am a dog lover (cats are okay too)
So.....to start a fun discussion
Please tell us
WHAT KIND of DOG would you recommend?
You can have real answers or be humorous.
just be sure to read the comments
they just might put a smile on your face.

My choice:

She is so smart and a little heartier than a Yorkie.
So I think that would be my choice.

~~MRI.....added more to this post

I have been so thankful for the prayers and concerns
of you my blog readers.
I did get my MRI results.
Without going into all the details, I have some stuff going on in my back, degenerative and bulging disks. She said my back is a real mess.
I have Tarlov cysts (link included)that are causing much pain, in the sacrum area .
Head MRI, abnormal no tumors, but affecting cognitive skills
I am headed off to a neurologist.
Can I share the JOY in all of this.
MY doctors appointment was the best I have ever had.
My doctor is a Christian.
She listened.
She understood.
There is a reason for my intense pain and loss of cognitive skills.
So, it could be worse. Many of you face much more than this,
it is just so nice to get answers.
She has also recommend a few things I should be taken to supplement my diet.
She gave me a hug before I left, how about that one?
I left her office almost in tears,
tears of joy and thankfulness to finally get some answers.
So right now I will go to the neurologist, a pain clinic and physical therapy.
Praising the Lord for answers.
keep a eye on my blog...a giveaway coming soon.....
that is UNLESS the Rapture happens...which would be
much better than ANYTHING I could EVER give away, amen !!

Psalms 34:1
I will bless the LORD at all times:
his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
I am sad for our country, at the level
of discernment, ESPECIALLY amongst CHRISTIANS.
So my thoughts this morning are these:

*God is in Control
*HE is unfolding HIS plan through the ages
*GET INTO THE WORD, now more than EVER

1 Thessalonians 5:18
In every thing give thanks:
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus
concerning you.
Even more so now
My state, Washington

Why I am voting Mc Cain

IF this were the ONLY REASON
Abortion stops a beating heart
Isaiah 5:20
Woe unto them that call evil good,
and good evil; that put darkness for light,
and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet,
and sweet for bitter!
There are SOOOO many reasons
I am voting McCain
another would be
I am
