It's been 2 years...
Last Sept. 30th I made sure I was saved.
During this year I have questioned whether I was saved before
and was just not sure?
I will tell you it FELT like I was engaged to the Lord for almost
40 years, and now it is marriage---for lack of a better analogy
I am not willing to take a chance on where I am going to spend
eternity so last year I made sure.
I have not regreted my decision, not one day.
PLEASE be sure that you are sure.
Hell is real...it is forever....
so is HEAVEN...
You will go to one or the other...
Heaven is where I am going
and I KNOW IT.
It has been worth it MAKING SURE...

This is a re-post...changed a bit from

Soups on

It's getting to be that time of year.
At the Food Network
They have a article with recipes for:
I intend to do soups this year.
Use my CROCK-pot more.
Possibly freeze some for unplanned times

Autumn thoughts

I think this is the first tree I have seen with it's colors
changing. I love this time of year.
I can tell the days are getting shorter...the sun hits differently
crisp mornings...
Autumn, fall...whatever...
It is my favorite Season.
WHAT IS YOURS?
Just a street close to my house.
What I love about the Pacific North WET
is the towering fir trees, everywhere.
Just thought I would share this with you.
~*~*~*~*~*~
Again....
I cannot thank you, enough my friends
for your sweet prayers, thoughts, caring,
cards, care packages.
Oh my, I really have been overwhelmed
by your acts of love.
I am healing, still elevating 95% of my day.
I should be starting physical therapy soon.
By my calendar, I should be walking the end of October
without the boot. I can't wait.

Don't stop so soon!

I am home from church this morning
but will TRY to go tonight.
ONE of my most favorite blogs is
Mrs. Julie Fink is the wife of Pastor Dave Fink.
She is a wise woman with great posts and studies
and sure loves the Lord, her husband, family and PEOPLE.
SOOOOO.....thinking of a sermon to listen today, I thought....
I have never heard Pastor Dave preach...
and that is who I listenend to today.
The Sermon "Don't Stop So Soon" is a KEEPER.
It is not long, at all...but something we all need to hear.
I know I did.....and now I have a voice I can connect with
when Mrs. Julie shares about her husband !!!
...I am thankful ...so thankful ,
for the way the Lord directs our steps
when we need to hear something...
Please visit her sweet blog,
read her archives....
you will be glad you did.

yes, it's me

Seee that smile...well I have been trying to smile through all of this...
BUT...but...there is a reason...
Friday, I got put into the BOOT...
which means I can put pressure on my foot as
long as it is in the boot....HOORAY...
Baby steps...6 weeks approx. of it.
WELLLL .....
I wanted so badly to go to church Sunday.
I just couldn't make it for the morning services.
My husband said he would run and get me
after CHOIR PRACTICE so I could
go to the evening service....
He helped me get cleaned up..etc..
After he left.
I did my hair, a bit of make-up...
and thought...hmmmmm...
I can drive..it is only a bit over a MILE...
so I thought:
"IF he didn't take my car
and IF I could figure out how to fold my
new (Craig's list) WALKER...
I was going to attempt it"...
and YEP...
I did drive ...and surprised my husband, myself
and finally was able to be in church...
oh what a blessing...
NOW..I know I can't do this often..
as yesterday I over did it, a bit and I am having to really
take it easier today...
I know it is supposed to be baby steps..I do know that..
but boy...when you get a bit of freedom
you kind of feel...like let's see what I can do.
Today....I can tell I pushed the limits and will
have to really watch it..
but oh
did it feel grand to drive....
yes...I was nervous...but praising the Lord.
Knowing some people NEVER get their reprieve....
I have much to be thankful for and
NO reason to complain...
Just a pilgrim in this process...
aren't we all ?
love,
Deby

Deep Waters

"And we praise Thee, Lord,
for the way our Saviour
measured all the deep waters
in our path and brought us through.
We know He always will !
He'll never leave us to drown in them !"
by Grace Livingston Hill
"Mary Arden"
This excerpt in this book is sure how I have felt lately.
Maybe today it will encourage you, whatever your
"Deep Waters " !

Deby

Easy Fall Wreath and more

This is the rag wreath I made for my little sister,
Lisa. They are 2x6 torn strips, not perfect,
tied on a hanger...she is going to add a Rafia bow.
Today I went to the podiatrist. I am still having
nerve pain, Thursday was REALLY rough...
So...he did inject me...and I did good....thank
you thank you for the prayers....
He, the podiatrist is now allowing me to slowly
start walking, with the boot on (6 more weeks)
the pain will control what I can do....I am happy
about that, just a bit more freedom.....
After the appt., my beloved took me to Wal-mart
which felt so good....and I used their electric carts..
that was fun, but a little tooo slow.
I have barely been reading blogs. Please forgive me.
I can't barely read right now. For some reason, the brain fog
is taking over and just can't seem to concentrate on something like that.
For instance, I can usually read a Grace Livingston Hill book in a day,
two most. Well I am still working on one I started last weekend.
So....I will be back commenting ASAP, I miss all of you.
Just wanted to check in, and tell you how your prayers are
being my support in more ways than you know.
LOVE and HUGS to all of you readers,
~~Deby

Rose on blogging

Meet two dear friends of mine. They happened to
come and visit at the same time. Well, the one on the
left is Linda, the one on the right is ROSE.
You know, Rose...the friend of mine I have written about.
I have told Rose about my blog posts etc...and have tried
explaining what blogging is. She really didn't know what I
meant. This was a perfect time to explain it. I looked up
the posts and then sweet Linda would show her and explain.
I was so excited to have these two come and visit. I was
thankful for God's perfect timing,so now Rose understands
what I mean about blogging and the posts I did about her.
I have had so many comments on my Rose posts...if you
haven't read them and if you get a chance check out my archives.
You will love her !!!

I hate to go on about this foot. I do need prayer. I am having
*un-expected* nerve pain . They might have to inject on Friday
and frankly I am SCARED. I am triple scared. I just want the pain
to stop and peace IF I have to have the injections on Friday.

Easiest Scrap-book Journaling...REALLY !

This is what I have been doing as
I recover. I read on blogs it is called
"Scrapbook Journaling" or Un-Journaling"
or Simple Jornaling
It is NO RULES...not in pictures, WORDS,
when and IF YOU WRITE or WHAT you do.
I saw it on Brenda's Blog here
ALSO on Jewel's Blog here.
PLEASE check out their blogs
and scroll down...to see how *THEY*
DO it !!!

I am enjoying the fun part of cutting
out from magazines, using stickers
old books..ANYTHING goes...
what works for me may not work for you !

Here are some of my supplies, I can tell my
favorite will be the black book, bought at JoAnne's

Sample pages

love garden pictures

My thoughts..or quotes

I am going to put my season salt recipe on these
pages along with a few other things..maybe a
quote or two on cooking

Love these pictures

A Stampin Up Spiral Book I started with.

Love this page...my thoughts..
I date only the pages that have my own
thoughts on it..

This is easy...so easy...and kind of a therapeutic
thing for me...My sister Lisa and her girls are
doing it too. This isn't to show off your scrapbooking
skills..it is a place to do what YOU want.
I always wanted to journal BUT couldn't be consistent
here...you don't HAVE TO....WHAT FREEDOM...
for someone like me.
IT is fun to recycle things too...old books, cards,
magazines...REMEMBER no RULES.....
~~Deby
Sorry for the blurry pictures...as you can tell
they are done on my lap on my recliner...
