I recover. I read on blogs it is called
"Scrapbook Journaling" or Un-Journaling"
or Simple Jornaling
It is NO RULES...not in pictures, WORDS,
when and IF YOU WRITE or WHAT you do.
I saw it on Brenda's Blog here
ALSO on Jewel's Blog here.
PLEASE check out their blogs
and scroll down...to see how *THEY*
DO it !!!
I am enjoying the fun part of cutting
out from magazines, using stickers
old books..ANYTHING goes...
what works for me may not work for you !
Here are some of my supplies, I can tell my
favorite will be the black book, bought at JoAnne's
Sample pages
love garden pictures
My thoughts..or quotes
pages along with a few other things..maybe a
quote or two on cooking
A Stampin Up Spiral Book I started with.
I date only the pages that have my own
thoughts on it..
thing for me...My sister Lisa and her girls are
doing it too. This isn't to show off your scrapbooking
skills..it is a place to do what YOU want.
I always wanted to journal BUT couldn't be consistent
here...you don't HAVE TO....WHAT FREEDOM...
for someone like me.
IT is fun to recycle things too...old books, cards,
magazines...REMEMBER no RULES.....
~~Deby
Sorry for the blurry pictures...as you can tell
they are done on my lap on my recliner...

Thanks again and praying for your full recovery.

I've seen these and I love them, but I've tried to make it work and all I end up with is a bunch of stuff cut out of magazines waiting to go into my journal!
Yours is beautiful, Deby! I'm sure it is relaxing. And it would be wonderful to have a place for quotes and stuff like that.
Love them.....you know it!!!!
This is exactly what I do! I was inspired by Jewels.
So glad to see that you are able to have a bit of creativity and fun!
I did this for awhile too, I'll probably get back to it this winter.
I'm glad you're keeping busy and creating lots of beautiful things to enjoy. (o:
What a lovely idea ~ it appeals to me more than structured scrapbooking which I find overwhelming!
So glad that you're able to find ways to express your love of creativitiy from your recliner :o)
Praying for your continued recovery Deby.
what a neat idea!
I am so glad you shared this. We times as tough as they are this is a great way to have an outlet of expression which is a great stress reliever. You could use this idea and make cook books for your family. What a great gift to give....m...

I do hope you are doing better. I know this has to be a trial for you. Sending my warmest and best thoughts to you.
Blessings, Barb
I started one of these awhile back too ~ after seeing it on Jewel's site. I love the pictures you have chosen for yours ~ so pretty!

This is very pretty Deby. I've seen these before. I think maybe I might try it this winter. Thank you for sharing your journal.
That was so interesting to look at. I can see why it would be therapeutic. It does help to be crafty like you are, though. We had to each do a scrapbook page for a baby shower last week and I had a hard time with. Ended up giving it to my daughter to do for me. I enjoy looking at what others have done though!
Super Cute Idea! I love your writing it's so beautiful! Hope your healing fast!
Love,
Michelle
I've heard of others doing this. I like the idea of NO RULES! I bet it is therapuetic!
Your scrapbooks are attractive. Isn't creativity fun? I like it because you can get ideas from others, but in the end, they are extremely personal - every one unique!
Deby,
This is a wonderful idea! I started journaling but, alas, it went by the wayside...maybe it is now time to take it out, dust it off and begin again ;)
I pray that you are healing and that the Lord continues to be your Peace.
many blessings,
lady m
