grandma's quilts

First----
Thank you...thank you...thank you...
I truly felt your prayers...
You blog friends are the best !!!!
This surgery was even more necessary than thought.
I had wonderful care...there...
and now at home with my husband and soon other
family......yes...I am in quite a bit of pain...
but know it will pass, eventually...
Praising the Lord for pain killers !!!
(btw--I got some posts ready to go before surgery)
This quilt was made by my grandmother

such beautiful detail and handwork.
These were ALSO in the box from my cousin Cheryle
I love this....
The shells come from the Jersey coast...
Again...thank you Cheryle

Can Cheryle come and be my cousing too? Or how about my sister. She is a wealth of compassion and sharing. What a gal. You are blessed with someone who knows the joy of giving and the joy of the person who receives. Wow!
Great quilts; much time and patience mixed with not a little love to turn out these hand stitched quilts. I have some tops given to me by a stranger that I plan to quilt. The lady who sewed them died of Alzheimers and her silly son didn't want them.
I'm so glad for you that these things have been saved and passed on by someone who understood their value and understood what they would mean to you.

Praise the Lord - for He is good. So thankful you are home. Love hearing about your grandmother and all the treasures she had to pass to you - what a blessing. My grandmother died when I was two - no memories at all but I love to hear about your memories. God bless you - you are a blessing to all of us. Vi Abing
