Something light hearted........I know you all aren't living in my computer.

...but sometimes, when I am homebound, it feels like it.

What is wonderful about this genre is that, you can have comraderie

with those you have never met in person. You can feel their love and prayers

and EVEN if we never meet, this side of Heaven, I think I will know many of

you when we meet in Heaven one day. Isn't that GREAT !!!!

This surgery was even more necessary than thought.

I had wonderful care...there...

and now at home with my husband and soon other

family......yes...I am in quite a bit of pain...

but know it will pass, eventually...

Surgery Went Great!

This is actually Deby's daugther posting for her. I spoke to my Mom and Dad and they say that the surgery went great. She is doing really well and on the road to recovery. They did say that the Dr's told them that it is a good thing she elected to have the surgery as the tear in her tendon would not have healed on it's own. Thank you for all the prayers and I am sure my Mom will be back on here in no time!

A blessing from my Cousin

Through the internet, I have been able to

connect with a cousin of mine on the east coast.

Her name is Cheryle.

It has been SHEER JOY to get

to know her.

To find so many family similiarities,

to catch up on WAAAAY to many years.

A time ago...

I received a huge box from Cheryle.

They are things that were my grandmothers

They are priceless to me

thoughts before surgery

This is my hearts desire---yet

I feel a bit stressed today...

and trying to rest in the Lord, HIS WORD

and depend on the prayers of HIS people.

Still, I get in the flesh...

no--NoT *just a Chair*

I will be having surgery. Knowing that I have

been trying to imagine how I can get up, down

and do things for myself, *one foot *--

I must admit I have gone into *FrEt-LaNd*

I hate to call it worry, okay...I will....worry !!!

I have been watching Craig's list. Well Lo !!! and

Behold...this almost NEW chair was offered for:

$100.00

The original paper work and price came with it.

It is a lift recliner !!!!....I practiced, it will take me

to a standing position !!! I am so thankful for the way

the Lord is providing. I am thankful that my sister, Susie

and her husband *just happened* to be here so my husband

could use her van to go get it.....no coincidences with the Lord

are there ?????

The colors go well in my house, it looks like a piece of furniture

it is sturdy and boy was it originally expensive...

Sometimes I get myself into a whirl...of worry..when...I *know better*

God is in control...HE provided...I am in awe....

yo yo's for fall

Good morning!!

Continuing with a Fall theme..

a favorite...easy project I just love them !!
I made these..yes..you can do them with just a cut
circle, but what I like about these yo-yo makers
is they are consistent in size...
they are cheap...
and take just a few minutes to master them.
ALSO IF you google "yo-yo's " you can see all
the neat things you can do with them.
I might make mine into another garland
or a table topper or doily type thing

Just trying to make my time in recliner land
productive a bit....

my Rag Swag-first time I made one

Trying to feel like I am *doing something*

whilst living in recliner land, I made this

RAG-Swag (garland) last week.

I tore fabric into 2 inch strips...then cut those strips

into 6 in pieces....easy...doesn't have to be exact

NO PERFECTION here !!

I added in some ribbon and rick rack

Not hard...you can make it any length

I tied those 6 inch pieces on some

thin rope I picked up...I even made ther rope

stronger by making it 3 strands strong.

Mine is in FALL colors...if I don't do things ahead

of a season sometimes they don't get done.

Summer will be winding down soon.

ALSO...if you google Rag swags or rag garlands

there are quite a few images out there.

Some even tie on little toys, miniature cooking utensils

ANYTHING

There is no wrong way....

Think my next one might be SHABBY--pinks

or more FALL but tied on a hanger shaped in a circle.

I am NOW awaiting the approval for surgery--

per doctor's orders today.

He said, Mrs.____ if you were my mother, I would

recommend surgery at this point. He is young and

is VERY kind and frank... I kind of like that.

I am not too happy as it looks like I have weeks ahead

of me.....recliner'ing....and trying not to feel sorry for myself

--I am accomplishing some crafty projects here and there

but oh ...I miss yard sales, and thrift shops and mainly

CHURCH !!!!!.....

Just venting a bit here today..."This too shall pass"

and I just want the Lord to teach me what HE alone

can teach . So....I will just take this as from Him and

know that even something like this is part of HIS plan for me...

for you, it might be something different...we ALL have something,

don't we ?

Trying not to have a pity party here....ahhhh...but the flesh wants

to here and there....so...that is it..just being a bit real....

This is her youngest...

Nehemiah sure does love his Uncle.

We aren't their grandparents

but

have sort of stepped a bit into

that role....they don't have any grandparents

anymore.

I do believe, whether family or not

the Lord provides others to come into

your life where you take on roles....or *they* take on roles.

I have a few *mothers*, sort of at church.

My husband has our neighbor, Larry that he treats

like a father......

I am so so thankful for all that my sister is

doing for me....tomorrow I see the foot doctor.

I am hoping that he will explain a bit more to me,

I am not very *patient*
