To answer your question, they said that he will be in the hospital about a week.

Here is what I thought after I read all the wonderful comments: There are a good deal of women that desire that woman be modest in their style of clothing.
What to do, since so many believe this way?
Our bodies are not for the public and we need to truly express what we mean by this to the young ladies. The media is NOT expressing this, and unless we all unite and help our young women they will be pulled in,
For all that sew, offer classes for the young women at your church, so that they can make a simple skirt...as one of those stated that the stores do not sell many modest articles.
Our husbands can be uplifting to us wives in front of our children about our modest choices. Not in a blatant way, but one of sweet love, expressing how he is grateful that we dress so.
I have also seen church woman have a color theme Sunday. This is where all the women dress up in the same color and have a luncheon with the same theme. Thus the dressing becomes something that is normal and fun for the women, instead of dreary and depressing(as the world portrays it...
Hope I am not rambling.

It was a great way to generate interest in digging into the word. That is what we should all be about - discovering from scripture how to best please our Lord and Saviour! Great post!
Your additions to your post were very good too, Deby. I thought about you and others among us, when watching the big talent program last night. I was especially disappointed in the appearance of one of the cute young singers. This world we live in has such an influence on society.

I use to work at the front counter at an elementery school and I saw more breasts than I ever cared to see. Anyone on my side of the counter saw EVERYTHING. I am also surprised at what is worn to church these days. I am so glad my daughter is a modest dresser.

I think the thing that touched my heart is that you *received* so many comments, and everyone was in agreement that modesty (or the lack therof) is an issue that needs to be discussed.
I appreciated each comment and suggestion...but most of all, I appreciated that you wrote this post with a heart of love. I did not grow up in a Christian home (in fact I had no religious upbringing of any kind and my parents were both into the social scene of the 60's and 70's) and growing up I was encouraged to "be cute" and that the purpose of clothing was to draw attention to yourself. When I got saved, I literally knew *nothing* of what it meant to be modest. It wasn't until a friend from church lovingly started talking to me and showing me from God's Word--regarding modesty and the fact that God truly cares about what we wear (and that it is an issue of the heart as well), that I started to understand. That was many years ago and my friend has since moved away, but I thank the Lord for her and for the loving and patient way she dealt with me.
