99 cent bargains

These were found recently for .99 each.
This store picks a color for the week...then the following MONDAY those things
of that color that did not sell go for .99.
The candle holder was marked for $2.99
I love when I find deals like that.
I know that some don't find Thrift shops etc..exciting, but they sure are to me.
In fact, from where I live I think I counted 11 within a 1/2 hour circumfrance of my house. Now mind you I cannot afford to do this as much as I would like. Even cheap, is not FREE, and with the cost of gas, plus this achey body isn't always UP to it.

Probably will do something with this cross-stitch frame..for sure paint...
I might even add a few more colors of thread to the stitchery to make it blend in
with my colors better. Anyways....
hope you enjoy these little bargains.
Finally getting these posted with more posts like this too come.
Stay tuned....

Oh how I love a bargain! These are wonderful! It's rewarding to decorate and seeing how much you can achieve for so little cost.

Wow,Deby. That is such a blessing--those items are so beautiful together, especially when you get deals like that. It's so nice that you have your crafts--they are so good for the inner woman.

I love the things that you picked up. I went to the Salvation store on Friday last week and they had their books on sale 10 for $1.00. I loved it. I like to read but can't always afford new books. I have had so much fun. Have a great day. connie from Texas

You got some great deals there, Deby. Beautiful things. Even at the regular prices they would have all been bargains. Where I live, we don't find things like that unless we happen to be early at a garage sale in one of the nicer neighbourhoods.

Imagine all the work that went into the embroidery. I am embroidering a pillowcase right now and have been at it for several hours, on and off. (I'm already using my needlebook that I haven't quite finished.)

I love the motto of the Christmas Tree Shops: "Don't You Just Love a Bargain." That's certainly true here - your buys are wonderful! I wish our Goodwill store did what your thrift store does. They have a color of the week, and I think the items with that color tag are 1/2 price. But there are no further reductions after that. Oh, well, like you, I have to watch those pennies, and besides, I don't need or have space for anything else!

Gosh, all that to say that I love your bargains! Share some more pictures when you've found a home for everything, ok?

I think that sweet rosebud frame is my favorite. All good finds, though. You are one of those that have a gift for thrift shopping, Deby!

I love thrift stores. In fact, my friend DoriAnn and I are planning (soon hopefully) to hit our favorite thrift store in search of bargains and treasures.

The candle holder is lovely!

Hi Deby,
You are so fortunate to have so many stores close by I am almost envious of your finds. We have the supposed "antiquing capital" city close by and I can finds some neat things there (although a bit pricy) but thrift stores are scarce. just 1 goodwill. I also like your idea of adding your own touches to co ordinate the needlework to co ordinate with your color scheme. I can't believe that never occured to me!

Just a thought but what about a name like hannah or anna for your topsy turvy doll. Backwards or forwards or one end or the other it is still the same. LOL
