Thoughts from George

Source of quote
In his diaries, George Washington wrote,
“Let my heart gracious God, be so effected with your glory and majesty,
that I may fulfill these weighty duties which you have required of me.
I have called upon you to pardon me of my sins.
Thank you for the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, offered on the cross for me.
You gave your Son to die for me and have given me assurance of salvation.”

Keep praying for our upcoming election, at all levels.
God is in control and there are no surprises with HIM.

That is great, Deby. I thought I heard James Kennedy quote something George Washington said, but I can't find it for sure.

I'll add my Amen to all that George said and will be praying for the upcoming elections.

God has all things in His control and He knows what He is doing. I'll rest in that.

It is good to know that there is others who are praying for God's will to be done and are trusting in Him for the future.

God Bless,

Dianne

I have read that many of our founding fathers were not christians but this prayer tells a different story. It is the prayer of a humble man who knows the Lord.
We all need to pray daily for our country and the upcoming election. It is my prayer that we will see a revival and that many Americans will turn to God. Despite what many would have us to believe, our nation was founded upon God.

Hello, Deby!

Thank you for visiting my blog, and for your sweet comment. My late aunt lived in Seattle, and I always loved to visit the area. It's so beautiful and green!
And I agree about the George Washington quote-what a great man and a great example.

Blessings,

Marqueta
