Show and Tell Friday

This is my FIRST time doing this. Go over to Kelli's,
and see what everyone else is also showing...and join in

There was a time when we lived overseas that I was REALLY into
wearing scarves. Well one day in the mail this picture arrived
lovingly drawn by my mother. She had gone to a ladies retreat
and I think she said the speaker had a scarf on and she asked her
how to do it, since she had a daughter that wore scarves.
She then drew and wrote it all out for me.
It meant alot then...BUT means such much more
NOW
You see my mom is in Heaven now.
She has been gone from our lives for not even 2
years. I have the frame and background paper
ready to frame this. My mom was the mother
of 7 children , I am the eldest.
I miss her more than words can even say.
This drawing is a reminder of her love for me

How special! I love that her love for you showed in ways of knowing things that you liked. Sounds like she was a wonderful woman.

Funny the older I get the more I think of my mother. Every time I look at my hands(daily) I see her, as my hands are similar to hers(except I have no freckles and she has zillions)

Deby and I sure it was a great love. My Mom is the Mother of nine and I haven't had her here on earth for the last 16 years but one day we will be in heaven together again. What a great day for many reasons that being just one. I love your keepsake. It is a treasure. connie from Texas

That is so neat--and it shows your moms care and thoughtfulness. I do not know if I have any of my mom's letters--I have moved so much. She died two weeks before my first child was born--it would have been nice to be able to show my kids some of her letters!!

How sweet of your mom to give such detail. Aren't mom's great?
I want to say a BIG thank you for showing such interest in my life! The gift you sent was wonderful! My mom purchased a scrapbook where the pages are done, and all you have to do is put in the pictures! I"m thrilled...it's such a time saver, and beautiful too! Could you send me your mailing address please? my email is jackiesblog@yahoo.com

Deby, that is so sweet. My mother loved scarves. I love them now, but I wear them on my head, can't stand for it to get cold! :o)

Hello. I found you at Susan's and had to come for a visit. Your blog title interested me. I am also a Daughter of the King.

The letter and diagram from your mother is so sweet. Yes it certainly shows her love for you.

My mother has been in Heaven since June 2001, and I have some of the gifts of love that she gave me. Each time I look at them I feel as though she is giving me a hug.
We will always miss them but we learn to live with that emptiness, especially knowing where they are and that we will be with them again.
Thank to precious Jesus.
