new year-- NEW NEWS

It has been a VERY busy in our house.
We are still grieving the loss of my brother, which brings tears
and up and down emotions. Many many times.
Then, my husband was offered a great job in Alaska.
I, then was browsing the newspaper one day,
something I hardly EVER do.
I found a ad for a larger manufactured home that needs a lot of TLC.
My husband is the best at that sort of thing.
We were torn.
Well the decision was made.
Dec 31st--
he is NOT taking the Alaska position
and we ARE buying the larger home.
TODAY
So as you can see.....life has been busy
I have to pack, and pack and pack.
and what I most covet your prayers for is this:
MY NEIGHBORS
We love them
THEY love US
IT is going to be heartbreaking to tell these sweet people that we will no longer
live next to them. I am thinking I will need to go to 6 different homes to tell
them our news in person.
Am I excited at the prospect of a larger home.
YES
There are many many reasons.
We have a year of living with noise and nail guns etc
but it will be worth it.
The Lord opened and closed MANY doors in the past weeks.
I felt many times so fretful and getting in sin over the stress of it.
I want the Lord's will, that is the bottom line.
So there ya have it.
That is why I have been SWAMPED.
Good REASONS , huh?
I will be in and out.
love,
Deby

Oh ((Deby)) ~ What huge decisions you and your sweetie have been facing over the last weeks! What a joy to know that God always walks with us to guide and comfort and direct. Praying all goes well with your move and that you find equally wonderful neighbors beside your new home. May the Lord bless you and yours in this New Year.

Oh Deby ~ Congratulations on your new home. It will be hard to tell your neighbors the news...but will you live close enough to visit them?

I would love to move to Alaska...hmmm, wonder if I could talk my boss into letting me work from home!!!

Well, you really have had a lot going on, Deby. No wonder there was so much stress. I'm glad you're not having to move to Alaska though. I hope you will have some more nice neighbors.

A new home how wonderful we have lived in the same house for over 30 years if we ever move it would be somewhere smaller with less maintenance but house prices have fallen drastically here over the past 18 months so looks like we will have to stay put ~ I pray God will bless you in your new home !!) You've been through a lot in a short period of time. Staying busy is helpful and it sounds like that's what you'll be doing. Hope everything works out.........

Dear Deby,
I am excited for you! But sad for your neighbours :( Our next-door neighbours moved this summer. They lived there for about 20 years... and we miss them. You will be missed, I'm sure. But there will be new neighbours...

All the work will be worth it.

Hey Ms. Deby ~ I agree with Sharon ~ it is always so nice to make it to that point when a decision is made and you can then move on. Humans just have to have that "closure" don't they. :) It is always a great time when it finally comes! Enjoy that new house! Blessings ~ Cathryn

Wow. I understand why you felt so overwhelmed! Hopefully, now that the decisions are behind you, you will feel some relief, although moving is stressful in itself. Still, a new home is exciting! I pray that your neighbors take the news well, and that you will meet more wonderful ones in your new neighborhood.

WOW! That is alot to have on the plate at once. My first thougth was for your health. I know moving can be stressful. I'll pray for you specifically in that area!

That is such exciting news Deby! It seems to me that awhile back you became content with the little home that the Lord has given you and now here he is blessing you with a bigger house. Isn't God good!! When we just rest in him, he always blesses!
I hope you'll keep us up to date with all the work you do on the new house...one of my favorite things!

I pray that the move to a large home goes smoothly ... don't overdue ... pray for your neighbours before and after you say good-bye and remember to share your exciting move with all of us!

Blessings to you and your dear husband as you continue to watch the Lord at work in your lives.

Congratulations on moving to a new home! I pray your move goes well, and everything goes smoothly.

Well, as long as we're still bloggy neighbors, I don't care where you move!
;)

I know what it's like to have good neighbors and bad neighbors. So I'm sad for yours, knowing they'll be losing a good one.

I'm very excited about your new home. I hope you take before and after pics to share with us. Bruce and I have often talked about buying a fixer-upper, but the Lord has not opened that door for us. Maybe one day. Until then...I'll just be excited about yours.
:)
