ONE Hymn

This is something that has happened recently that I have found very interesting. I don't know IF you will, or it is something the Lord is just trying to tell me.
Last Tuesday on my Blog, I posted the words to "TURN YOUR EYES UPON JESUS", the song had been playing in my mind that day. Then Friday, Sharon........posted a comment on MRS. B's Blog about keeping your eyes on the Lord. Saturday, MRS. B was lead, by Sharon's post to post"TURN YOUR EYES UPON JESUS".......so I was thinking..there is NO COINCIDENCE with the Lord.....

WELL........last night as our visiting Evangelist (Bro. Bill Bramlett) was ending his sermon...HE sang the first few lines of "TURN YOUR EYES UPON JESUS"

I couldn't believe it and thought that I would share it with you all in blogland. Isn't that the beauty of a good old fashioned HYMN and how God uses them to get our focus where it should be.

So maybe the Lord is ,JUST for this time, telling me....to stay focused...but I doubt it, as I know that we all stuggle with looking at situations, problems, things that seem to BIG for the Lord to handle...LIFE.....my answer is like the title of the HYMN says:

"TURN YOUR EYES UPON JESUS"......
and the things of earth will grow strangely
dim in the light of
HIS Glory and Grace"

Deby, they sure do "grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and Grace." So, I guess if our burdens get to heavy, we are not keeping our eyes on Him. connie from Texas

Beloved Daughter,
Welcome to the World of blog. I know so very little about computers that my blog is just basic for now. I think comfort is so needed these days and I look forward to reading your blog...Where to start? How about a favorite Bible verse..or introduce yourself, to the degree that you want people to know you.....the Lord will show you...Let me know when you are LIVE...

I was thinking how our God dwells in the hearts of each of His children and how His Spirit teaches us. We are many children, but He is One God, therefore, since He lives in us, we are VERY connected with one another.

I hope that made sense! Lol!

isn't it good of God to confirm His voice and will to us!!!

Sharon,
Makes perfect sense to me...it was just neat for me personally, how this hymn was so in so many of the people far and wide that I had contact with last week. I love it when the Lord does things like that for HIS children. Yes..we will one day be in Heaven together.

God is an awesome God! He does work in mysterious ways..I love it when things happen in my life like that...our pastor has been preaching on the ABC's of the Christian life on Wednesday nights. The first night was Assurance-The second Baptism and last night's was church (kind of ironic with what we've been talking about in our emails huh?) anyways-on the night he was preaching on baptism-we had two baptisms that had been scheduled for that night! isn't it great how God works things out so perfectly. There is no coincidence with God...just unique ways of doing things!

I love what you wrote. I think usually when things come like that in threes, it is as if it is a good thing or a confirmation. :-)

Just this past week, I used the "Apples of Gold" verse for a special function my colleagues and staff are going to have so when I read the title of your blog at Connie's (from the heart) site I had to come and look here.

I enjoyed reading your blog and the thoughts that you shared.
Thank you.

Mmm ~ Precept upon precept. I love and am continually amazed at how the Lord works by placing layer upon layer. And I do so love that hymn! :o)
