no tip toe-ing for me

So...today, I went to the podiatrist.
He read my MRI--and I have some tears in my foot.
He told me the technical stuff--so I have to imobilize it,
for 4-6 weeks....
I was put in this RED cast--
went home---and then was in so much pain
I called him, went back--
OFF, went the red cast and now back to the Air Cast.
So I will be living in my recliner for a few weeks....
trying to be patient-
knowing if this doesn't work
SURGERY
which, I don't want.
~~~I do not like limitations like this, I am
trying to just trust the Lord, and no, it is not
the end of the world, and many people,
including many of YOU have far worse.
Hope to do a lot of reading,studying, stitching and......
BLOGGING !!!!
~~~I will try hard not to whine~~~
and just maybe change the polish on my toes
now and then !!
Now to get my Jane Austen movies ready to go !!!
~~deby

Wow! That has got to be the record for the shortest amount of time a cast has been on. I'm sure it made you "crazy" even for that amount of time. So, the Doctor "gave you the boot"? Give it time to heal, Deb, and it just might...you DON'T want surgery! I'll keep praying for you...love, Susie

How very frustrating for you!

Hoping you are on the mend very soon!☺

Which Jane Austen movies were your favorites? Have you seen Cranford? Not one of hers, but along the same line. Very good! Hope the time goes quickly.

Oh my! I hope it heals quickly so that surgery won't be required. At least your toenails look cute. (o;

And I'd have lots of movies (and good books) ready to go because it seems like things are really slowing down in Blogland, many are taking breaks right now.

Dear Deby...

When I was only a few week prego with beautiful daughter I stepped on a needle and it broke off in my right foot. Right in the big toe joint (sorry for the visual here) and next to an area I ALREADY had problems with. When my baby girl was only 3 months old I (I was 26) I had a radical bunionectomy to remove deformed bone, etc. I thought I would die from the pain. Having to care for a baby and a 3 year old while moving about on one foot was horrible (and I was alone...hubbs worked and momma was 500 miles away). It took me a long time to heal but you know what...I've NEVER AGAIN had the problems I had before the surgery. I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

Thinking of you...praying the weeks fly by fast!

I loved that red cast tho...

Well dear, I'll admit my first thought (after seeing the cast and thinking, Oh, no! What has happened to my dear friend??) was how much I like your oh-so-well-groomed tootsies☺ I like the color polish very much... and I think it coordinates better with the black air cast than the red one;)

ANd speaking of reading... some sweet friend sent me a package! With some wonderful little books inside! Deby, what a treat that was to open... you are a delight. And I'll be praying that the Lord's plan for your next few weeks will be beautifully fulfilled☺

I had the "bunionectomy" and I'd never do it again. My toes still don't work right - off balance most of the time and the nerves are very tender, chickee! So, no, you don't want more surgery. I'd never recommend it to anyone - EVER. However, if I had toes that cute I'd show them off to anybody, anytime, sugar. Adorable!

Connie

Thanks for visiting my blog and Pink Saturday.

I hope your foot heals without surgery. And, I think a little whining would be allowed. ;-)

Dear Deby,
Oh, I am so sorry about your foot! I will be praying that it will heal without surgery. I hope that the time will pass quickly for you without too much discomfort. Please take care....enjoy your Jane Austen movies. (I just bought Northanger Abby. It's not my favorite...but still good.) God bless.

Deby,

I'm sorry to hear of your having to be *1-footed* for the next few weeks and hope that your poor foot heals so that surgery is NOT required ~ I'll be praying that you will have peace through the whole thing!

What are your Austen faves? Mine is Pride & Prejudice, but the 1996 one with Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth ~ to me it was just perfect!

Keep posting because as Michele says, a lot of others are taking breaks ~ I'll be watching for your pix, your encouragement and your news :o)

Blessings!

PS: I think your toes looks cute too :o)

So sorry, dear friend!

Will you have things to keep you occupied?

I'm so sorry about this, Deby. In your time of recliner-life you can spend even more time in the Word, listening to excellent teaching and music, sip on iced tea and maybe even a wee bit of chocolate now and then. Then you can admire your adorable toesies..for they are adorable. :o)

WOW ~ sorry to hear about your tears. Well, even though being in the recliner will seemingly "get old," try to remember it is making your foot "new."

Wish I could come over and "whilst away an afternoon" with you.

Hoping you'll find the time going better than you thought, and a good report from the doctor so surgery won't be necessary.

May patience become your new best friend....knowing the stuff you're itching to do can wait. Sigh.

Blessings and love,

Becky

Oh Deby, I am so sorry you have hurt your foot. I hope it heals well and you don't have to have the surgery. Are you behaving? I did like that red cast, but even red can be bad if it hurts! Take care!
