meet Betty

There is a lady in my church *Betty* who is
artist. She works in oils, watercolors,ink,
pottery and carving.
She recently had a ART show in her garage,
it was also a sale.
These pictures do not even do justice to her work.
Some of her work she has turned into cards.

My husband allowed me to purchase a painting
you can't see it from here...it will have to be
another post.
~~~NOW~~
Betty is in her 70's-
she is a widow. She also
gardens--she has a huge vegetable garden,
she then cans her harvest.
She has the most beautiful lawn and flowers.
She sews, embroiders, her home is
beautifully maintained.
She is my friend and welcomed me
for a great visit yesterday with homemade ice tea
and sweet fellowship.
I am inspired when I am around her
and want to learn from women like her.
She embraces her homemaking.
I hope you can find someone older that you can learn from.
That is wonderful just like the
woman in Titus, Titus 2:3
The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
Titus 2:4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
what a blessing to be this woman, and to teach the younger women, that is my goal also. Good article sister.
I love spending time with elderly women at my church and even those as my father's nursing home. Their wisdom regarding life often escapes me. They are wise BECAUSE they've lived through all the junk too many of us still think is important.
One thing matters...our relationship with Jesus Christ and EVERYTHING else that comes after that...well...just comes after that...
Beautiful Post...
Do you know you bless me? You do!
xo to you girlfriend.
Betty sounds like a wonderful friend.
Have you been enjoying these cooler temperatures we've been having? I have...and my grass appreciates it too...it was stating to burn in a few places even though we were watering it faithfully. It's nice to move around a bit more comfortably.
Hugs,
Robin
We all have the same amount of time in a day. It is enjoyable to see one person do so much. Makes you want to do something yourself.
Deby thanks for the tour of your friends work. It was a blessing to see. Sometimes as we age we begin to think that we can not do so much but if we do not give up then we can find things that we can still do that adds so much to our lives. Thanks again, connie
I agree with all the other comments, and with you.....she is inspiring.
I LOVE women like that and wish I was more like that (I am a "be-er" and not a "do-er"....but I try to be OK with that, 'cause that's the way God made me)
Anyway, I'm so glad God blessed you with her in your life.
....and many more blessings from the giver of good gifts, our heavenly Father,
Becky Terry
