Well, I am so blessed that my husband is taking some more vacation time off this week. He had so much saved up, he didn't have much choice.
We love spending time together and even though there are no grandiose plans it will be wonderful having him home.
We *might* put our Christmas stuff up. There are no rules on this.....come on..no groans...
I have scaled back so much and we do have some DRY days coming, so WHY NOT, I ask?
I have an appt. this week. You might guess from the photo what it is...all I am going to say is :
"eewwwww-YUCK"....although I am thankful as this, like the mammorgram is something that saves lives.
So...not a very homemakey or spiritual kind of post, just a peek into our life this week....any plans going on for you that you want to share?

I've never minded a mammogram or "the OTHER thing" except for drinking that awful stuff, sweetpea! Anything that prolongs our lives are worth it!
Smooches,
Connie
Oh, those tests!!! LOL I had to have some lower intestinal tests done years ago, and they aren't fun at all - but praise the Lord we have the blessing of reliable tests!
Hi Deby,
Two weeks or so ago I had my third colonoscopy. Yuck is a very good word. I had had polyps the first time so they bring you back again and again to make sure. So I did get a good report and it will be 5 years down the pike now! Yes! I hope yours goes very well. The prep is the bad part - the rest is down hill from there. Lord Bless, Cathy
I'm so glad you get to spend some fun time with your hubby! I hope your Dr. visit goes quick and smooth and is over before you know it!
Hugs, Sharon
Hey Deby, how have you been feeling lately? Best wishes for the colonoscopy and that yucky stuff. Ask your dr. about taking a pill instead. There is a pill available as opposed to drinking that gunk.
My husband took Friday and Monday off because he had too much banked time, so also had no choice! I'm hoping the weather is nice tomorrow so maybe we can get our christmas lights up.
*edited* as was too graphic(too informative too yucky)...
New cOMMent~decorate your home anytime anyway you choose!
I am not musically inclined and when I had my children I sang Christmas carols to them as lullabies as I knew no other songs....fyi-2 born in June, 1 in April, and 1 in October!!!
Merry HAppy Thanksgiving Christmas...
Jennifer
That's nice you get to spend some extra time with your husband this week!! I hope your test goes well also. God bless.
I'm glad you are taking care of yourself Deby. I hope you are finished with it by the time you read this. Bless you, Kathi
Oh I like all you put above the comment box. It's so true, I have had several terrible comments in the last few weeks leading up to the election some even saying I can't control what is commented on since it's a blog and is public, whatever. I love that Scripture and will have to put it on my blog :)
That isn't what I set out to say though. I had a colonoscopy done this year (I was 29) and also another thing but can't remember the name (it was half of what a colonoscopy is) thankfully nothing was found but still no idea or cure for what ails me. I am thankful we have these test to (no mammogram yet) thankfully I had a great dr and there was no discomfort and actually I didn't really remember anything. I also thank God for anesthics at times like those LOL.
Praying your results are fine.
Oops I don't think I left my name, I am Sarah from www.homeschoolblogger.com/OhioSarah
Hoping your test went well. They are certainly worth it ... I wish my father-in-law had gotten one done sooner!
Regarding Christmas ... we are into getting things rolling a little earlier this year. I'm moving a lot slower and I want more time to cross the finish line. ;o)
