~~After

Psalms 34:1
I will bless the LORD at all times:
his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
~*~*~*~
I am sad for our country, at the level
of discernment, ESPECIALLY amongst CHRISTIANS.
So my thoughts this morning are these:

*God is in Control
*HE is unfolding HIS plan through the ages
*GET INTO THE WORD, now more than EVER

1 Thessalonians 5:18
In every thing give thanks:
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus
concerning you.
~*~
WE ARE ALL MISSONARIES
Even more so now

My state, Washington
voted in *assisted suicide*
shame, shame

Oh how sad that it was voted in in your state, honey. Prop 8 in Calif was voted out which is a good thing actually.

I'm praying for peace, calm and serene times but I'm still being diligent and making my home a respite and refuge for the times ahead. If we are not one we are not of Him.

Smooches sweet chick and SMILE!!

I had similar sentiments in my post this morning...in fact you posted one of the same verses that resonated in my mind over and over last night ~ 1 Thess 5:18.

One thing I have noticed here amongst our Christian blogging community is the realization many of us are coming to that we cannot be quiet for the truth any more....let's pray for a revival!! God can (and will) use this situation for His glory....let's embrace it and be passionate for His purpose, Amen??

Blessings to you! Thank you for your love of our great Lord.

Sad day indeed. But God is truly the one in power, not Obama even though he may think he is right now haha ;)

Deby I was so dissappointed by the outcome too as what happens stateside will eventually cross over to here!!! I believe we are living in the last of the last days & God has certainly been calling me to a deeper walk with Him. I am so enjoying the sermons of the church of the open door. ~maybe enjoy is the wrong word for I feel so challenged in my spiritual life by what I'm hearing. God Bless you my sister Marie x

I was thankful that my state was red, but I'm so disheartened by the results. My husband and I keep saying though, that we are getting what we deserve as a country...

Great advice and comforting for us. My state failed to come through for McCain by 3 pts. but praise God - we did vote to protect marriage as being between a man and a woman!!!

I feel the same Deby and it is so sad that our state did vote for that assisted suicide! :(

Your post expressed my own sentiments. I am so disappointed I almost feel numb and I am so concerned for the future of the country. But, as you said, God is in control!

I am so sorry to hear that news about your all's state.
I was checking the news online most of the morning to see if "Yes on Prop 8" was going to hang in there or not for Cali.

I have to say we were Sooooo THANKFUL that our state went "Red" last night.
We knew it would. Most of the South did and not because we are racist down here at all (contrary to the old South) ....we just have high values down here on alot of things.
Thank GOD for the "Bible Belt" I say.
We are orginally from the Midwest (IA/Mo).

I'm with Katie.....REVIVAL will be what we will need.
The "Church" needs to be ready for what's going to take place.
I was reading on one newsite and it said...."get ready for persucution"....and I believe that.

Oh....I love the music on your site.....very sweet and comforting. :~)

I haven't been here to visit before....but I will be back. Thanks for coming to see me today!

I loved what you said about yourself in your profile...HA!
So funny...
Hang in there.....we win in the end anyway.
Be blessed!

Okay...dingy me. That isn't your music...it's Lady Jane's! HA! I pulled her site via her comment and had it downsized and just left it playing the music and so I thought it was your music. HA!

Assisted suicide is such a terrible thing. We Christians need to pray hard and make sure we are walking that narrow road and being what God would have us to be.

Dear Deby, it would be an awful day, if I did not know that God is in control and working thing out for His purposes. He see the whole picture and we only a little. Here is a verse that I have shared with some of my other friends and I would like to share it with you. Proverbs 21:1, THE KING'S HEART IS IN THE HAND OF THE LORD, AS THE RIVERS OF WATER: HE TURNETH IT WHITHERSOEVER HE WILL.

My Pastor shared this verse with us last night and it calmed my heart.

Colorado had a chance to vote that life begins at conception and it was voted down. A lot of sad things happening in the world today. I think we are getting to that time when we have to lift up our heads because or reedemtion draweth nigh but until then we have to keep on keeping on. connie from Texas

Wonderful thoughts after the face.

I guess there were some victories. Alabama voted to ban same sex adoptions, that's good news.

The direction of our country, is....of no surprise to our Lord. though, sad as it may be. We must remember that the answer does not lie in politics, but in winning lost souls to Christ. When hearts are changed, then lives are changed. We must stand up to the test as Christian people: honor, obey, and pray for our new president elect. Not murmur or complain about the results (for God dispises this) but pray with earnestness for the souls of America, and the rest of the world. and lastly, remember where our citizenship lies. ~Emily H.

Oh Deby I had not heard the outcome of your election, it is truly sad, and I agree, we need to be in the word now more than ever before. Cling to Jesus!
