Daniel

Like many of you I am somewhat concerned over the upcoming election.
I am trying to spend more time in the WORD. Last week I read through the book of Daniel. Sometimes prophecy and some OT doesn't click in my brain. Well I had to miss church ( not by choice)...so I went to Church of the Open Door's website and I was so blessed as the Pastor is doing a series on Daniel. I got through the first 2 of them and I am excited to listen to the rest of them, to assist me in studying this book of the Bible.
I recommend it....I need this to help me stay focused in these days, maybe you do too ????
~Deby
btw I have gotten through 4 sermons to date, WHAT A BLESSING !!!!!

Oh my blessed chick, I'm with ya 100%!!! I need to get into scriptures more lately and I have. It is essential for me with what is going on in this nation.
Smooches, hugs and prayers.

I agree Deby. It is always comforting to me to remember that God is absolutely in control of all things. There is nothing that happens apart from His will. Knowing that, and knowing who He is, always gives me a sense of peace.

I'm reading through the major prophets right now. I'm currently in the middle of Jeremiah. I do so agree with you; these books are very encouraging during these times. To see the prophesies that have already come to pass ... to read what is yet to come ... and to know ~ above all ~ that God controls it all. Nothing surprises Him. What a blessing!

Dear Deby, thank you for this post.

I know that you don't take awards but I gave one to you on my blog anyway and even though you don't have time to accept it, I wanted you to know that I think you deserve it. love you, connie

Thank you for the visit to my small cottage. I so agree with you about the up coming election. I think we as Americans need to stop. read and think about what will be the best for us. I ask God every day for the wisdom to do the right thing on Election day.

I've enjoyed the book of Daniel ever since I did a Beth Moore study on it about two years ago.
