Cell Phone or Bible

I got this from Tori's , A HOME FAR FROM HOME Thought that it was so good.
We are a family of Cell Phone users......which sometimes can be a pain, other times
I think," how did I ever live without this"?

Cell Phone vs. Bible

Psalms 12:6,7 "The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in the furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible
like we treat our cell phones.

*What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets
*What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it
*What if we flipped through it several times a day
*What if we used it to receive messages from the text
*What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it
*What if we gave it to kids as gifts
*What if we used it as we traveled
*What if we used it in case of an emergency
*What if we had to upgrade because ours is worn out
It's just something to think about... Something to make you think?
So which is more important to you –
Cell phone or Bible?

very thought provoking.

I still can't leave comments for Mrs. B. It says I'm not a member. Could you please tell her I still read her blog, but for some reason it says I can't leave comments.

I can live without a cell phone and I am not sure if I could live without my Bible or not. I know that I could not live nearly as well. I read this recently also and It caused me to think. Thank you. connie from Texas

By the way, would you tell Mrs.B. the same thing for me that Pam asked you to tell her. It tells me the same thing. I sure hate it. connie from Texas

i like this...such a true statement. I know I'm that way. I will go back in the house for my cell phone, but on the rare instances I've forgotten my bible, I'm too "tired" (lazy really) to go back in to get it and I think I'll just use one at church. I should really be ashamed of myself for that...and I am. Something I need to work on. We all have those areas in our lives right? I wanted to tell you a bit of good news-My husband was voted on yesterday at a country church-Hilltop Chapel-that we've been preaching at for the last month as their pastor and he passed unanimously! yea! The Lord is so good and he blesses those who serve him! We are so excited to be there and start this new walk in our ministry. Please pray for us! I also wanted to tell you that me, my mother in law and sister in law have opened an etsy store online. We have all kinds of hand-crafted (by us) items posted and have more items to post for sale. Please check it out and if you don't mind to make a post on your blog about our store to let your blogger friends know we'd appreciate it! please help spread the word! thanks! go to heart2home.etsy.com

This is a good reminder! I posted it on my old blog about a year ago but was very glad to read it again.

And Pam and Connie---I had my comments turned off while I was on vacation. It's just easier for me to do that when I'm away from blogging. You should have no problems commenting now. (o:

WOW!!!
Here's one more for me: What if I treated His precious Word like the 'blog thing'. Every AM I rise early to read the blogs and update mine. During my homeschool break time, I again check blogs... What is wrong with me!? Time to repriorit1ze. Thanks for the challange!!!

Well, I don't even own a cell phone. Can ya believe that!?!?!? I used to always carry a Bible in my purse. I wore the thing out so I need to find a new one. i do have my church notes and scriptures in there and they really come in handy! I have notes clear back to the 1990's! Good thing I write compact and short notes isn't it?
