yes, it's me

Seee that smile...well I have been trying to smile through all of this...
BUT...but...there is a reason...
Friday, I got put into the BOOT...
which means I can put pressure on my foot as
long as it is in the boot....HOORAY...
Baby steps...6 weeks approx. of it.
WELLLL .....
I wanted so badly to go to church Sunday.
I just couldn't make it for the morning services.
My husband said he would run and get me
after CHOIR PRACTICE so I could
go to the evening service....
He helped me get cleaned up..etc..
After he left.
I did my hair, a bit of make-up...
and thought...hmmmmm...
I can drive..it is only a bit over a MILE...
so I thought:
"IF he didn't take my car
and IF I could figure out how to fold my
new (Craig's list) WALKER...
I was going to attempt it"...
and YEP...
I did drive ...and surprised my husband, myself
and finally was able to be in church...
oh what a blessing...
NOW..I know I can't do this often..
as yesterday I over did it, a bit and I am having to really
take it easier today...
I know it is supposed to be baby steps..I do know that..
but boy...when you get a bit of freedom
you kind of feel...like let's see what I can do.
Today....I can tell I pushed the limits and will
have to really watch it..
but oh
did it feel grand to drive....
yes...I was nervous...but praising the Lord.
Knowing some people NEVER get their reprieve....
I have much to be thankful for and
NO reason to complain...
Just a pilgrim in this process...
aren't we all ?
love,
Deby

That is such happy news!!!

You must be wanting to do a "happy dance" but you'd better hold off on that yet, if you are as coordinated as me...

Bless Your Sweet Heart!

Deby,

Remember to go slow as you don't want to wind up having to sit it out, but I can completely understand wanting to get up and get out! I am so glad that your first trip was to church! Yeah!

Deby, my dear... your positive attitude just brought tears to my eyes. "some people never get a reprieve." what a sobering thought, and enough to fill one with gratitude at the benefits we have. Praising the Lord for you today, sweetheart♥
