Easy Fall Wreath and more

This is the rag wreath I made for my little sister,
Lisa. They are 2x6 torn strips, not perfect,
tied on a hanger...she is going to add a Rafia bow.
Today I went to the podiatrist. I am still having
nerve pain, Thursday was REALLY rough...
So...he did inject me...and I did good....thank
you thank you for the prayers....
He, the podiatrist is now allowing me to slowly
start walking, with the boot on (6 more weeks)
the pain will control what I can do....I am happy
about that, just a bit more freedom.....
After the appt., my beloved took me to Wal-mart
which felt so good....and I used their electric carts..
that was fun, but a little tooo slow.
I have barely been reading blogs. Please forgive me.
I can't barely read right now. For some reason, the brain fog
is taking over and just can't seem to concentrate on something like that.
For instance, I can usually read a Grace Livingston Hill book in a day,
two most. Well I am still working on one I started last weekend.
So....I will be back commenting ASAP, I miss all of you.
Just wanted to check in, and tell you how your prayers are
being my support in more ways than you know.
LOVE and HUGS to all of you readers,
~~Deby

Oh Debbie, take your time dear one! Do not push yourself.

I know, you are probably going a bit stir crazy, but it is not forever.

This too shall pass.

Your sister's wreath is beautiful; she will enjoy using it!

Woohooo for Wal Mart! You are on the mend. I'm glad to hear that you can now get up and move around. Just take it easy and don't try to run a marathon or something! ;)

Deby,

What a beautiful fall wreath! Have you considered making them to sell? It could bring you some extra income while you are recovering and keep you busy as well!

I know I'd love one. Here is hoping you are up and on your feet soon with no pain!

Love and Hugs ~ Kat

Sweet Debbie,

I am so glad that our prayers are helping. What a trial you are going through (or "what trials you continue to go through" would be more accurate). Your wreath is lovely! It's good to have some hand-work to divert your mind. It really helps with the pain and it's a good feeling to accomplish something.

Cute wreath Deby! I'm sorry to hear about your foot, but I will continue to pray!! Take your time getting back, sweetie. I was a little sick for a few days and still feel a bit foggy myself.

Love and hugs to you my friend!

Thanks for the update! You are making progress...

The wreath is cute! I bet your sister loved it!

I think maybe your pain meds are giving you the brain fog - that is not unusual.

Glad you are able to be up a bit!

Have a lovely weekend!

Soft Hugs to All: Laurie D. said...

Hi Deby,
My name is Laurie. I am new to this whole blogging thing, so please bear with me. I have been searching around the internet looking for blogs by people with Fibromyalgia. I came across your blog, and you seem like a very nice person who, like myself, has this horrible, silent disease.
I am trying to figure out how to add the blogs that I would like to follow to my blog space, but I have not been very succesful. I was wondering if you could help me figure out a little bit more about blogging and how to set up a nice blog page. I love yours. Primarily I would like to continue to follow your blog, but I as I said, I don't know how to add you. Any advise would be greatfully appreciated.
Thank you, and soft fibro hugs and prayers to you from me.
Laurie D.

I love the wreath. I made one like that years ago. Great way to use up scrap fabric..and every color makes up a whole new look.

Praying you mend fully...I'm so sorry to hear of the pain you are experiencing. Perhaps to minister to another later...that needs the comfort of "knowing" what it is like.

God bless..
HOPE~

Yesterday the house was quiet and I was doing the dishes - God brought you to mind and I started praying for you and wondering how that foot was doing. Glad for the update. I will continue to pray.

Hey there, sweet thing. :o)

Just stopping by to say hello, let you know I'm thinking of and praying for you. Don't worry about not visiting your bloggity friends - we'll be here when you're feeling more up to it. You just get better, okay? Don't rush it - take the time you need.

As to those electric carts: I used those thingies last year after my mopping accident and hurt my knee in a bad way. They were slow, yes, and I hated that the one at WalMart had loud back up beepers! argh! I ran into things until I got the hang of it but the WalMart cart would stop in the middle of an aisle. I mean it...it'd just STOP. frustrating.

But the cart at the grocery store was neato and went faster than the WM one. An old lady challenged me to a race and I took her up on it. She won. hmfph. I think she had an even faster cart than mine ... and knew it. Very deceptive and unfair, if ya ask me. ;o) Ha!

Love to you, dear friend...

Thanks for giving us an update. Just keep in mind, there is a purpose to God slowing you down for a season. The prayers will continue...as long as it takes.
