Southern Girls and Sweet Tea

With blogging, you hear of things you have never tried,
or have never been to.
For example, SWEET TEA-----
and I would love to go to a Cracker Barrel.
Well, I think the SWEET TEA is taken care of.
Our McDonald's now carries it.
My sister and her 5 children have been here all week.
Lisa, has been organizing my craft/lovely room.
And helping my house get more settled
We had to go out...
we splurged:
SWEET TEA
Yummmmm.....
sure does have a ton of sugar...maybe that is why
southern girls are so sweet...

My sister, my friend, Lisa...
loving her tea too.
Next week I will be sharing pics of the things she did.
I know she doesn't want the glory and recognition.
I tell you, I am sooooo thankful for all her help.
Her children, have kept us laughing
and have been helpers too....
...now back to SWEET TEA---
I really loved it...BUT don't think I should have
all the sugar
NOW...
gotta go to a Cracker Barrel, next.

So glad you got to experience the sugar rush of Sweet Tea.

I don't have a sister. That would be so much fun!

Oh Honey child, you have got to go to Cracker Barrel. It's my favorite place. If you ever decide to make your own sweet tea get Luzianne.

You're too funny!! I have a great sis, too, and I am so thankful for her!! I'm so glad you have had a good time with your Sis, and can't wait to see what you both accomplished!! There is just nothing like the connection sisters have!! Especially when you're sisters in the Lord, too!!

Have a joyful weekend, Deby!!

Deby,
mmm Sweet Tea. I am not a southern girl but I do love me some sweet tea. Not overkill but just a hint of sweetness. By the way I got to spend some time with Melissa today as she joined Diana and myself for Spring Tea at MOPS. It was great to see her and pat yourself on the back she is such a great person. I truly enjoyed her company today. Have a blessed day.

I haven't had McDonald's sweet tea, but I am a southerner and I've made probably thousands of gallons of sweet tea in my life. My mother and grandmother didn't make theirs very sweet, so I never have either, and I've been told that mine has a good balance. I'm thinking McDonald's probably makes theirs too sweet, so if you make your own, experiment with it till it's just right. And I use Luzianne! ;) And if you come to see me someday, I'll make you some sweet tea.

Cute post, Deby ~ You know I always used to drink sweet tea, but switched to unsweetened tea, when a guy I was dating drank it. I would just add a little sugar to it. Now I like it unsweetened. BUT now I can't have caffeine, so there goes the tea!

My Grandmother used to make a pitcher of sweet tea every afternoon AFTER my Grandfather went to work. It was her break time I guess. It was a half gallon of tea with about 1 1/2 cups sugar.
I like sweet tea but I don't let myself drink it. I usually mix it with unsweetened to tone it down. You and your sister look like you are really having fun. And in the grand scheme of things, sweet tea is extremely innocent and harmless. Enjoy!

Glad you liked the sweet tea! I use Tetley and like Susan, we don't make it syrupy sweet like some do.

I hope those injections are working for you.

Deby honey! Are you telling me you've never had sweet tea until just recently? I can't imagine that! It's hard to fathom someone never drinking sweet tea. My eyes have been opened here, just realizing how different everyday things in our lives can be around our own country!
Now girl, I just know you'll LOVE Cracker Barrel. My fave is Uncle Herchel's breakfast, oh and you must try their hasbrown casserole!

I've never tried Sweet Tea but I've been to Cracker Barrel *lotsa* times on our journeys to Virginia and Florida. YUM. I think the nearest one to you would be Utah or Arizona...I think. Wanna meet up? Them's good biscuits. :o)
