I chose these as the walls are huge and I think these will look like candles.
Also thought I could use the edge around them to decorate withe something.
of course,
a girl can always change her mind, ya know
drying, after some hand washing
I am NOT fond of space above cupboards,
this space is VERY short so over time
I will add a few touches here and there
Right now we have put these rose lights up..
if you look HERE in my blog, there were Tiffany lights up.
I do love Tiffany, I do, but I wanted it a bit more cottagey.
I am still not sure and may switch back.....
Hill-side Cottage has been so busy this week.
My beloved is home and doing a STAY-cation.
He is accomplishing so much, and in his element:
remodel mode.
I tell him he has the *Home Depot* stars in his eyes.
Those who know him, would agree.

It was snowing here this morning but it's all gone now...just wet and sloppy!
I can't decide if I like the rose lights better or the Tiffany ones...I'm kinda partial to stained glass.
Hugs,
Robin
Love them...especially the new rose lamps...I bet they fit in just right...Pray for me...not a good day emotionally!!!
(((Hugs))
Your sis
Very good idea about the sconces. You might be able to decorate them with seasonal candle rings or wreaths. You're lucky to be able to change our your light covers; one gets tired of the same things. I do love your Tiffany too!
We spent the day cutting underlayment for the kitchen floor. Almost finished, but Hub had to leave for work. Looks like we'll be dragging this into next week. But it will all come together one day. We had steaks on the grill:) No oven!
i love the rose lights.. they are just *sweet!*
Every Spring I teasingly tell my husband that they should put a recliner in Home Depot just for him because he spends so much time there.
Have a great week...m.
I especially love the lamps. But the other things you have gotten are really nice also. Some of them look like things I have owned in past years. The cake plate and the little thing that has a chicken top (at least that is what I used to call it.) Mine was a different color. It is so good that you husband can do remodeling and is good at it. I have been blest in that area also. connie
Those are some pretty things you have. And those sconces really do look like candles! Very nice!
Deby -
I loved the Tiffany glass as well! Maybe you could just change them out seasonally, then you could change up the look!
Maybe some greens above your cabinets would make it more pleasing to you.
Isn't it fun to set up a new home?
Your choices are lovely.
Oh Deby, the rose lamps are beautiful and will certainly add a cottage element to your already lovely cottage home. I like them!
The wall sconces are simple elegance..not much would be needed to cottagie them a tich. Love that your 'remodel guy' is busily taking his part in making your new house a home.
I love the new look to your blog. big. time.

in addition, I agree with MrsRabe about changing the lamp shades for the seasons. Tiffany for autumn and winter, rose for spring and summer. :o)

I love your new rose lights too. The Tiffany is also pretty though.
Such lovely touches for your Hill-side Cottage!
