Sad day indeed

That day....like today...
Many woke up, went to work....
Not thinking it was their last day....
Then it was the horrific terrorist attack.
It could be a car accident
a heart attack....or just your time.
What is important for you in this day?
What is your priority?
WHY ??
These people took NOTHING with them....
I won't either
Neither will you....
I don't know who was saved
GOD does.
This I know
except, what we do for the Lord
Nothing ELSE matters except that we are HIS.
LIFE indeed is short.
Mark 8:36
For what shall it profit a man,
if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him,
I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

I remember watching on TV after the attacks and how churches were flocked too and people began seeking Him and crying out to Him and it was almost like a revival of sorts.
...and the things calmed down, life went on and people put God back in His little box they kept Him in and now only call on Him when they are in trouble.

I hope and pray that those who did dedicate their lives to God after the attacks are faithfull still serving Him and didn't fall prey to the lies of satan.
The Christian walk is not easy by all means, but it is so worth it once we reach Glory and hear 'well done my good and faithful servent'.

God Bless,

Dear Deby,

Thank you so much for this. It is so true that, without Him, nothing else matters, and yet with Him, nothing else matters!

In His name,

Great post Deby...I love how you wrote this out ...

and emphasize TODAY... so true!

People go on with their daily activities not realizing TODAY could be the day...

I was in a car accident and realized that DAY that my life was not my own..nothing else mattered that day but getting saved! I knew I would have died IN my sins!

Praise the LORD for faithful witnesses..and BLOG witnesses!

Dear Deby,

It is a sad day indeed! But yes, when it all happened nothing was taking - I pray that when people remember today, they will realize that without Him, we are nothing.

The condition of our soul in relation to God is of the utmost importance, above all else, no matter what the circumstances are that give us our last breath ~ thanks for bringing that to the fore, Deby.

Our local news radio station is doing its broadcast from that day online. Everything is being broadcast throughout the day with the exact time. I've been listening to some of it and it really is taking me back. I don't want to ever forget. You are so right--we never know what each day will bring. We need to live our lives for Him. Wonderful and appropriate scriptures.
