Black Jelly Beans and Licorice

Okay, as I was thinking about the Peeps post
I thought that black licorice and black jelly beans
seem to have the same effect on people.
People either love them or hate them,
Can you guess????
I LOVE them
and have been known to pick
the black ones out of the bag for me.
I love the Bristish Black and multi colored licorice too.
My mom was a black licorice lover.
Maybe it's genetic.
Just some more lighthearted posting.
Anyways, I know they are SUGAR,
but I think I will consider them to be part of
the bean/legume family.
Which makes them healthy, right?
Psalms 34:8
O taste and see that the LORD is good:
blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
BTW, Our daughter and family made it safely to their east coast
destination. She now has the bug that is going around
and with having asthma I do request prayer for HER.
Thank you for praying for her trip.

Oh no....that bug is just determined to hang on in these parts! I can't wait for them all to die out.
I don't care for black licorice. I like the cherry ones the best! ;o)

I love black licorice too.... before I gave up sugar, that is!
Have you ever thought of munching on raw fennel to calm your licorice craving? My husband and I both like to eat this for our licorice fix... and it's healthy to boot!! Can't beat that!

I don't have the taste buds for black licorice either....but my mother loves them! :-)

Thanks for sharing your favorite hymns! I can't wait to look a few up that I haven't heard.

Blessings!

I am one of the black licorice lovers too. I do not like the red at all. I've noticed sometimes it is hard to find the black, but lots and lots of the red!!

Deby...thanks for stopping by my place. I've been visiting you for a while. I hope you don't mind that I have you in my links...let me know if you'd rather not be there.

I love all licorice but black is my favorite. But don't eat too much of it because it zaps the potasium out of your body. My prayers are with Missy that the "bug" doesn't linger on. Glad they made it to their destination okay.

I greatly dislike black licorice. My best friend loves it and that's usually what I get her for Easter, a bag full of black licorice.

I like your thinking girl!!

LOL- I'm not a fan of black licorice, but when I saw the title of your post, I automatically thought that you were! Otherwise, why would anyone post about it! hehe

I just said a prayer for your daughter. Thank the Lord they arrived safely though.

Oh Nana, YUCK!! I am going to have to find a sweet that we both like. Oh wait....what about those lemon bars from the town over from me.....I know we both like those. And they are YUMMY. Better than peeps, black licorice, and black jelly beans ever could be

MochaMIssy said...

Um... going to have to say no to both peeps and black licorice. I will never be able to look at Peeps the same again after you know who's little comment on Easter! Too funny...

Love you and thanks for the prayers.. I cannot wait to feel better, that is for sure! So much to do and not enough energy to do it.

lol, again, Deby. I don't care for the licorice ones, but can eat them. Sounds like we need to do something about our sugar craving! I have been eating jelly beans and some low fat candies. Guess I need to find out how bad sugar is for us.
Oh, no, I will pray for your daughter.

I love black licorice and jelly beans too! But I get complaints that my breath stinks when I do indulge...so I don't very often!
