I do, and sometimes , I THINK I do to a fault.
I was mulling again today, and this verse came to mind,
or should I say a portion of this verse came to mind.

1 Samuel 15:22
And Samuel said,
Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices,
as in obeying the voice of the LORD?
Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice,
and to hearken than the fat of rams.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
The portion that came to mind was :
Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice.

This spoke to me, don't know if it will to you or not.
It is also not a big thing, WHAT, I was mulling about.
I have to say, I do LOVE it ,when
the Lord brings to mind an answer from HIS WORD.

Oh that is so true.. I love to visit your blog, always words of wisdom.
Thank you for sharing this. Also, thank you for stopping by my blog. You are so right about how the Lord brings His Word to our minds when we need it. Blessings, Kathi
That happens to me a lot too.
I have been thinking about obedience lately too. Thank you for posting this verse!
My hubby and I were talking about that very verse just the other day! I love it when the Lord brings to our minds His Word!
I have had this song on my mind recently:
To obey is better than sacrifice
I don't need your money
I want your life
And I hear you say that I'm coming back soon
But you act like I'll never return
Well you speak of grace and my love so sweet
How you thrive on milk, but reject My meat
And I can't help weeping of how it will be
If you keep on ignoring My words
Well you pray to prosper and succeed
But your flesh is something I just can't feed
To obey is better than sacrifice
I want more than Sunday and Wednesday nights
Cause if you can't come to Me every day
Then don't bother coming at all
La,la,la etc.
To obey is better than sacrifice
I want hearts of fire
Not your prayers of ice
And I'm coming quickly
To give back to you
According to what you have done
According to what you have done
According to what you have done
Our Music Leader sometimes sings this song. I love it. I might see if I can find the music for my blog.
I don't always comment back...i just can't seem to fit it in...

Hi Miss Chole,
My mommy posted a healthly pancake recipe today that your mommy could make and eat while losing weight. They are really good. It has been raining here today si I haven't been able to go out and play. Mommy and I took a nap this afternoon. We got up at 4 am so we were tired.
Hugs,
Miss Candi
Amen! Isn't it true how often we are tempted to demand that God be pleased with us because we have done something for Him, when we knew all along that we were resisting Him in some way. I went a long time this way, and I'm so glad for the mercy of the Lord in how He took me so gently along till I repented.
A good one to remember when we get caught up in WORKS instead of faith and trust.
Susan
Yes, I think that much of God's Word is not mulled over ENOUGH! Thank you for bringing this verse to the forefronts of our minds :)
Amen! That's a verse that has meant a lot to me from way back!!!
Hey, I love the pictures of the coffee pots--I have one like those. And I love it when the Lord brings a verse to mind--like He is wanting to tell us something a little more directly. And today I woke up not with a verse but with a hymn. It was strange because I haven't sung that hymn in ages!! Don't know if you know it, but it is "Come ye sinners, poor and wretched, weak and wounded, sick and sore; Jesus ready stands to save you, full of pity joined with pow'r: He is able, He is able, He is able, He is willing; doubt no more. etc. It has a pretty appalachian type tune.
