A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.

some Monday thoughts

I just love the book of Philipians
I will share a few of the scriptures that
spoke to me last night, and what I am reading this week.

~*~*~*~*~
Philippians 4:6
Be careful for nothing;
but in every thing by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Philippians 4:7
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding,
shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
~*~*~*~
When I think of the word CAREFUL...
I have heard it explain
FULL of CARE
That hit me...
I need to give these *cares*
which this year .....
have seem to be overwhelming,
moment by moment
over to the Lord.
I am working on this and need to spend
more time in the WORD.
~*~
Last night we were blessed to have
the singer, Mark Gray at our church.
What a beautiful ministry through
song and word.

Deby,

I too, have been spending more time in the word throughout the day and asking God into my days and praying even more. I love the full of Care instead of careful. One sounds cautious and other sounds more of an act of doing.

I also love Mark Gray's singing - all his songs send a beautiful message. He has been coming to BBC for as long as I've been there (over 23 years). I'm glad you were able to be at church to hear him. Hope you are feeling much better.
Love ya, Vi Abing

Thanks for sharing what you are learning! It has been quite a year for you and yet I always see you pointing the way to Jesus in it all.

In times like you are going through right now and the past months, nothing will help like God's Word.

Whenever I'm feeling over whelmed or depressed Philippians (along with Psalms) is always the book I turn to. I read it over and over and it really helps. (o:

You and your health has been on my mind lately. The courage that you demonstrate through your faith always encourages me.
As I struggle with not being able to do as much as I used to it challenges me to re-evaluate my personal worth. You have been a terrific example to me -- I just want you to know.
