a few tidbits

I mentioned before that this month I would be
posting some things that are special about me, or my
quirks etc....
This is my anniversary month. We will soon be
married 38 years. My husband was my high school
sweetheart. HE STILL IS !!!!!
I don't celebrate Halloween in any form. I will decorate
for fall. I have strong convictions about this. I haven't
always, but I sure do now....
Autumn colors can just bring joy to my heart....I love to
see the contrast of the reds...oranges, golden colors against
green..fir trees in our area....
I am pretty crafty. I can get a bit distracted and work on one
thing without finishing something. I am working on this.
When the days get shorter and darker, I use much lighting.
Low wattage around my home, to include candles and battery operated
candles, mini lights...anything to just make things seem more cheerful.
so.....just a few tidbits, nothing exciting....

Happy Anniversary to you and your hubby! Autumn is my favorite time of year! Time to break out apple pie scented candles and cinnamon sitcks:)

Deby,

Love how you incorporated the fall colors in your blog post! Very creative. I too love fall the best, the smells and the colors along with the weather just make you want to be home and cozy in front of a fire.

Thanks for your recent comments :)

Ive never always had strong convictions about halloween either, until the last couple years. And like you, now I detest it. I always stick up my Christmas wreath on my front door on halloween now (just to rebel against halloween LOLOLOL)

Happy Anniversary and Happy Birthday this month (I believe I read your bday was this month ?)

well, Happy Anniversary to you two this month! I love to hear about couples that have stayed together ~ it's just so encouraging.

I am like you about Halloween. Don't celebrate it in any form and am against everything that it stands for and encourages as well.

We don't decorate or celebrate for that October 31 deal either, though my husband still wants to give treats to the little ones in the neighborhood.

We love autumn and decorate just a wee bit as I'm not into going gangbusters - which makes me a very dull person indeed, I'm sure. :o)

Love you,

Love getting to know you tidbit by tidbit!! Praying for your pain, sweetie. I have been having a stabbing pain in my elbow that is quite bad. I'm praying and resting it before seeking any medical treatment.

Have a lovely evening, my friend!
HUGS,
Becky

I just picked up one of those little lights like what you put in your window at Christmas time. Only it is a brass pineapple. It's very pretty and it is perfect in my hallway as we need just a bit of a night light in case we need to use the bathroom in the wee hours.

I'm with you Deby!

and...I also love low light touches every where...little lamps in corners.

One year at Halloween we had the lights OUT..no one home..so we thought they would get the message. Nooooo...a little kid put his face up to the corner of the door and yelled in..GIVE US SOME CANDY!!!! whoaaa... he didn't get any either!!

Hope your days are better...

Hugs.

Praise the Lord! A Christian with convictions! We don't have anything to do with the 10/31 shenanigans either. Unfortunately, that is my birthday. Not that God makes mistakes. So some years ago, when people would comment about my being a Halloween baby, I'd say that no, I was born on Reformation Day. Then I'd get to explain what that is!

This year, there's a good chance we will end up being home as on the 22nd, I'm having my knee injected with Synvisc. Based on what happens when I've had cortisone injections in the past, I'm not expecting to be doing very well, since this is a lot more fluid. We'll see what happens.

Congratulations on 38 years of marriage!

Happy Anniversary to you and your sweetheart. No halloween for us, either, but I do love fall!

May the Lord bless you, friend!
