Things here

Lately life sure has been busy. With illness and such whew, it is like the wind gets knocked out of your sails.

A few updates from my neck of the woods:

Last night I spent the night away and was at my nieces' bridal shower. Oh what a sweet time of fellowship we had. I was asked to do the devotion which was a blessing to me . The wedding is this week.

We have had contractors at our home for two days, my beloved has been off work to be HERE when they are here. The major work we needed done, is almost finished...oh it feels good.

This weekend we will be celebrating our youngest grandsons birthday....Nathan will be 1 !!!!

Very soon my daughter and her family will return from the east coast for a few months, I cannot wait....

Do you realize the time change is this weekend? I for one, am ready for the longer days.

I am dismayed GREATLY over all the changes happening in our country. We need so badly to stay focused and in the WORD and encourage each other. We are deepening our pantry some as I have already seen some prices start to skyrocket.

I think that is it....I am feeling better today..just tired as I stayed up late (rare thing for me) having girl talk with my sister and nieces. Yesterday I was with my other sister and her great kids..oh it is fun to live close to family ...and then I sure did enjoy sitting by my daughter in law Kristi at the shower...we had our own little giggles going on...

How's things in your neck of the woods?

BTW the cross-stitch sampler is something I did while stranded in Germany when we were stationed overseas. I was flying Space-A back to Turkey and it took me 5 days to get a flight...so I stitched and stitched...and stressed and stressed....yep...I did..but I did get back...there....

Your sampler is sweet, Deby!! Sounds like you have had your plate full, girl!! Glad the contractors are almost done!!

Yes, friend, things are getting a bit sticky in our nation, but you're right...we must focus on God. He is already there, knows the beginning from the end, hasn't been taken by surprise with this economic stuff, AND will supply all of our needs according to His riches in glory!! What more could we ask?

I heard a man yesterday warn of the coming commercial real estate collapse, and he said not to spend any money that we don't absolutely have to. I'm heeding this until we get a better picture of how bad this could get. Personally we've lost 20K of our retirement!!
I'm praying about doing a post on this. We'll see.

Have fun with the wedding and birthday celebration!!
Know that you're a blessing!!
Hugs,
Becky

We are sick here with sore throats :( I am glad you are feeling better!

I bet its nice to have a lot of the work done around the home. Guess what.... we have a leaky valve in one of our heaters and it flooded the carpet a little. Thats the last thing we needed with both of us being sick LOL

It's nice to catch up on all your news Deby and good to hear you're feeling better.
There really is nothing better than spending time with family is there? I'm so glad you are getting to do that.

Your sampler is so pretty Deby. I'm glad you enjoyed your time with the ladies in your family. Thanks for the reminder of the time change. My daughter mentioned that to me the other day. It seems early this year. It was nice to read happenings in your life!

We do need to encourage!

I'm planning a bridal shower for a girl in my dad's church. What was your devotion on? I'm trying to gather some thought for a devos. I'd love it if you could share with me!!!
