The Fields are ready

Matthew 9:37
Then saith he unto his disciples,
The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
Matthew 9:38
Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest,
that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
These verses have been on my mind this week.
Not so long ago I heard a pastor use these verses.
He commented that indeed the fields are ready,
they will be reaped...either for good or bad
and yes, it does depend on us.
(paraphrasing him, hope I got it right)
I do believe in the pre-tribulation RAPTURE
I am RAPTURE ready,
YET.... there are so many out in those fields.
I am asking the Lord to show me , in my daily life
how to do my part, to open doors, to be a soul winner.
Proverbs 11:30
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life;
and he that winneth souls is wise.

there is a spot that airs on my local Christian station... and it always ends with "gone forever. another minute. go out and share the Gospel" (or something similar) it always makes me think of this verse, and how many times we might pass up opportunities that the Lord has laid out for us... it's a profound thing to think about.

I, too, Deby; God says there is no more condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. Your belief is well based on what the BIble says. And we should redeem the time to tell others about the goodness of the Lord. Prisons, jails, resthomes, even shopping affords us opportunities to reach people.
Thanks for the reminder.

Hi Deby,
I had a nice time catching up...you have such a nice mixture of posts...encouragement from the Word, family matters, and some that are good for a chuckle. The post about the mother, suddenly at home, is what is making me think.
Why do we buy it that it is soo much better "out there"? Soo sad.
It does encourage me to see you still enjoying your calling:)
Have a a great weekend,
Rene'
PS You should try out Monticello if it is only 3 hours away...I'd be in trouble if it were that close for me:)

Very timely and true reminder, Deby!!

All who are born again are ambassadors for Christ and are called to bear witness to the good news of salvation!! I, too, ask God to broaden my influence and to use me as He pleases.

Sure do appreciate you, and your love for God!! If I don't meet you here...I will in heaven!! How cool is that!!
Hugs and Joy,
Becky
