You can know

2 Corinthians 5:8
We are confident,
I say,
and willing rather to be absent from the body,
and to be present with the Lord.

Today, 2 years ago my Beloved Mother
went home to Heaven.
She joined my dad.
My younger brother had gone too,
just 6 weeks before her.
We, as a family here on earth, miss them all
My mother KNEW where she was going,
you can know.
It is not a maybe,
it is not based on works or what a good person you are.
It is not playing religion
It is by the precious shed blood of Jesus on Calvary.
for my sins, for your sins.
He rose again on the 3rd day and conquered death.
Heaven or Hell it is your choice.

Amen! Well said my friend! Where we end up is totally in our hands. God has offered us a free ticket to Heaven through His son Jesus and the choice is ours!

Great testimony for the lost Deby and oh the peace of knowing that you'll see your mama again one day in Heaven! There is no describing that peace, is there! We can try, but one must partake of that eternal life in Christ to really understand it! Thanks for the uplifting verse and thoughts.

Oh wow, Deby. What memories. A portion of that Scripture is on my mother's tombstone: "Absent from the body, Present with the Lord.

Praise the Lord that we can know for sure! Thank you Jesus! (o:

It's also a blessing to know that even though you never really say goodbye to your saved loved ones....it's really just "See you later." (o:

Amen. We sure can know, and after we receive Jesus as our Saviour, we find a Bible and study for when we return home:)

You are right on directing everyone to the Light.

Deby, My Mom has been gone now for sixteen years and my Dad much longer but I know they are both in heaven. I still miss them more than I can say, so I know the loss you feel. We are so blest to know that we will see them again one day. I wish everyone would have that assurance. I say WOULD because like you said it is their choice. free gift, free choice. love you, Deby. connie from Texas

Dearest ((Deby)) ~ I love that verse in Psalms - Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. Psalm 116:15

Indeed, when a child of God goes home, it is our loss that brings the tears of grief. (They have no need of our tears.) Your post is such a beautiful tribute to your mom. I pray your words touch the hearts of those not sure of their own salvation. Praying for you to be wrapped in the peace and comfort of God during this emotionally tender time.

I'm so glad we don't just "hope"--we know for sure what lies ahead for the believer. :)

How comforting it is to know where our loved ones who belong to Him go to when their life on this earth is over. Few things in life are sure, but this is one of them and I'm so glad.

Our family has experienced quite a bit of loss also in recent years. I miss each and every one of our precious family members, but Praise the Lord, they too are in His presence now and I'm so very thankful for that.

Hugs and blesssings to you Deby!

Hi Deby! It's been while since we have communicated, and I wanted to see how everything is going!

I LOVE the idea about the rocks with scripture on them. I think it would be a GREAT project to do with my kids. Now we need to go collect some rocks!

The Lord bless you!
