Black Jelly Beans and Licorice

Okay, as I was thinking about the Peeps post
I thought that black licorice and black jelly beans
seem to have the same effect on people.
People either love them or hate them,
Can you guess????
I LOVE them
and have been known to pick
the black ones out of the bag for me.
I love the Bristish Black and multi colored licorice too.
My mom was a black licorice lover.
Maybe it's genetic.
Just some more lighthearted posting.
Anyways, I know they are SUGAR,
but I think I will consider them to be part of
the bean/legume family.
Which makes them healthy, right?
Psalms 34:8
O taste and see that the LORD is good:
blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
BTW, Our daughter and family made it safely to their east coast
destination. She now has the bug that is going around
and with having asthma I do request prayer for HER.
Thank you for praying for her trip.

~~Peeps

Do you love these or hate these ?
I haven't found many people who don't have an opinion.
Yesterday evening, we stopped at our local grocery story
my husband ran in for something ,you know what he did ???
HE came out with a SURPRISE for me, yes...those little YELLOW, Chick, Peeps.
He knows I love them and they were on sale, the thing is he hates them.
I just love that he knows me so well and was willing to bless me .
YES, I know they are sugar,doesn't sugar come from sugar cane, which is a PLANT.
Anyways,
They do bring out opinons and I am a Peep lover,
in fact, I like them even better when they are opened and
sit out for a few days.
What about you???
Something lighthearted for this Saturday.

Sitemeter and security

EVIL,vile bloggers. They are out there. They visit your blogs they visit mine.
Sometimes they will leave horrible demonic, gross and just unkind comments.
I moderate for that reason. So far I have only had a few.
~~~BUT~~~
A wonderful Christian Blogger had her blog replicated, and then took
information off her blogroll and
sent MANY of US not so nice comments, SOME VILE.
So in saying this I am enclosing a link to Blog security here. Sent to me from a friend.
Each of us has to pray and assess your blog with the Lord and your spouse.
I would say:
"Be Careful"
To know more on this situation please vist Cherish the Home.
She writes better on the situation than I did.
NOW, in saying all of this, I would like to post why I continue to keep my
The above incidence is why. It could enable someone to find the culprit IF need ever be.
Some, do not like when you have sitemeter.
They feel like you should not know when they are on you blog.
What I have discovered is this:
1. RARELY do I even visit my sitemeter to see who is on, it is not automatic.
2. When I GOT the ghastly comment I could trace it to the source,
if it would have been worse , the police would have been called.
3..It is my security, the best I can do right now.
4. If you think I am spying on you because of my sitemeter, I am sorry that is not the case. At first it was fun to see where all my posts were coming from, who was on my blog, etc...
now frankly I don't have the time, it is for SECURITY.
There are risks in all areas of life. Right now with the consent and discussion of my husband I am keeping my blog .There might be some minor changes, it will unfold as I am lead.
I love this way of sharing and learning and keeping in touch with loved ones.
and can I say Pray for your blog, pray for other Christians that blog,
and BE CAREFUL.
Always moderate your comments as a starting point.
Get sitemeter, it is FREE.
Missing Missy and hers
My daughter and I
We have a wonderful mother -daughter relationship.
I do believe that is what the Lord intended because scripture tells us
that the man is the one to leave and cleave to his wife.
I think the Lord knew the value of the mother ~daughter relationship ,that through
the years would turn into a friendship.
I know many of you have not been blessed by this, for that I truly am sorry.
~oOo~
Saturday morning,Missy and her family (husband , two boys)
moved for at least a one year assignment on the EAST coast.
For me, this is not easy.
M never has said a mean word to me, that I can think of.
She has always been so kind to me, her mother and her dad as well.
I know I am loved by her, because of her actions.
She is fun to be around,
She is honest with me, "no,mom don't wear that"
We talk everyday, even if it is just to touch base.
We both love make-up, purses, decorating our houses, reading and most of all
THE LORD.
So please pray for my sweet daughters family as they trek across our great
country. They have MANY miles to drive.
and even though it sounds selfish, I sure wouldn't mind a prayer here or there
as I get used to life without their family close by.
I know it could be worse and many of you have not had your children
EVER close to you, or you have missionary children etc...I have not had that.
I guess I have been spoiled to have her and her family so close.
I know LIFE is ever changing,
This has just been a rough one for my husband and I.
~oOo~
As I am writing this, I have to add that boy will
her dad miss HER husband.
Her husband, is always there to help out with home improvement projects.
My beloved, is always there for him too
So it is a family thing.
~oOo~
WE know that God is always good and HIS plans are always best.
I just miss them already.
~Because HE lives
Today as I am mulling over some things, I am at times feeling sorry for myself.
There has been much that has gone on in my life, recently. At times overwhelming.
Then today as I think about the suffering that my Saviour did for me, for you,
I am ashamed at my selfishness in thinking it is about ME, when HE did it all for me and for you! This is my first Ressurection Sunday KNOWING for SURE (See Sept 30th post) that I am HIS, that I am SAVED, this year it IS DIFFERENT.
The ultimate sacrifice more than we can comprehend.
This song came to mind
~~Stay
I pulled into the crowded parking lot
at the Super Wal-Mart Shopping Center
and rolled down the car windows to make sure my
Labrador Retriever Pup had fresh air.
She was stretched full-out on the back seat
and I wanted to impress upon her that she must remain there!
I walked to the curb backward,
pointing my finger at the car and saying emphatically,
'Now you stay. Do you hear me?' 'Stay! Stay!'
The driver of a nearby car,
a pretty blonde young lady,
gave me a strange look and said,
'Why don't you just put it in park?'
Thanks to my friend Linda who sent this to me in my email this morning.
I know some of you pet lovers will think this is cute.
A challenging post
Susan, at BY GRACE
did this post from her notes at a ladies
conference that she attended.
Maybe, it won't speak to you,
but I "think" it will,
in one area of your life or another.
It is well worth your time
to hop on over to her blog
and read it, in my opinion.
It really spoke to me
about more than one thing in
my life.
Thanks Susan for taking the time to
write this out for all of us.
Longing to Please you, Lord
Longing to Please you.
~*~
With all my heart, Lord
I long to please You.
But too often I lack wisdom
Or am shackeled by indecision
Or deterred by incalculables.
Enable me, Lord.
To relax in your love
Released and radiantly confident
That my longing to please you
Pleases you most.
Baby Nathan
Kristi is doing better and should go home tomorrow.....THANK YOU for the Prayers
UPDATE: Pray for Kristi, Nathan's Mom,
her incision is infected so she is having to spend MORE time in the Hospital.
Me, still sick fever about 101
This too shall pass
Thank you for such sweet, caring comments and of course your prayers.
I had planned to do a wonderful post on the birth of Grandson #6 this week. Nathan was born and weighed in at 7 pounds 1 oz. And he is a cutie, please be patient as I have been HIT by something and I am just not up to downloading pictures, but I WILL. I just had to tell you all.
So not knowing how long this version will last , I will not make any promises. This morning I have a fever of 101,wheezing coughing headache and horrible bodyaches, yes, I will accept a bit of sympathy but prayer will work better. It is making me a bit grouchy. as I seem to be catching everything since last November. See, I am griping.
Anyways, my house is quarantined right now but my blog is not.
This too shall pas.
A Favorite Promise
I just LOVE this
WE can't even imagine
the things
Which God Hath Prepared for US
Those WHO are HIS
I can't even imagine
Can you?
~*~
1 Corinthians 2:9
But as it is written,
Eye hath not seen,
nor ear heard,
neither have entered into the heart of man,
the things which God hath prepared for them that
love him.
You can know
2 Corinthians 5:8
We are confident,
I say,
and willing rather to be absent from the body,
and to be present with the Lord.
Today, 2 years ago my Beloved Mother
went home to Heaven.
She joined my dad.
My younger brother had gone too,
just 6 weeks before her.
We, as a family here on earth, miss them all
My mother KNEW where she was going,
you can know.
It is not a maybe,
it is not based on works or what a good person you are.
It is not playing religion
It is by the precious shed blood of Jesus on Calvary.
for my sins, for your sins.
He rose again on the 3rd day and conquered death.
Heaven or Hell it is your choice.
No one ever said
"No one ever said at the end of his days;
'I have read my BIBLE too much,
I have thought of God too much,
I have prayed too much,
I have been too careful with my soul'"
