Yes, Deby for sure. I just don't bother watching the news. But when I get on- line I do see the headlines and also I listen to some talk radio in the car. I would just rather focus on God's goodness! However, I see so many who are hurting and going through trials that break my heart.
Deby honey, our stake president tells us that regularly: be happy and God is in control no matter what. I believe this but am so disgusted with.......well, I'm not bringing negativity to your blog, chickee so let's just be happy and positive and of good cheer!! xoxo and smiling, Connie
Thank you so much for this wonderful reminder. I am currently reading through the life of Joseph in Genesis. He suffered great injustices at the hand of his family and others, yet he remained a true servant of the Lord. God was with him and actually directing every circumstance although I am sure there must have been times when Joseph felt quite abandoned. This story is such a blessing and a great reassurance. I am praying for you, dear Deby!
Deby, I so needed that quote! It meant the world too me with everything our family has been going through~ So thank you so much for being obedient to want the Lord places on your heart to share. Blessings, Vikki
Absolutely Deby. It's one of the things I'm just resting in as we do the Esther study. We read a verse in Proverbs last week that says God controls the heart of the king. Indeed, He is in control of everything, and if that weren't so I don't know how I could face another day.
Deby...the LORD puts us in these times for that very purpose..to know he is in control and as we yeild to HIM..a great work is accomplished in us and sometimes in others as well.
Oh how I have had to learn this lesson! I rejoice in telling you..it is worth it all! No matter the sorrow...heartache...pain etc.
GOD DOES ...ALL THINGS...WELL!
Praying for you and hoping you get some relief in your health.
Deby, Just remember that nothing touches us unless it goes through our heavenly Father's Hand first. Each trial teaches us a new lesson and helps us to maybe be a blessing to others that may face things later. No matter what, Our god is in Control. Thanks for sharing.
Deby, I need this reassurance TERRIBLY. Especially in the times we're finding ourselves. Thanks for another gorgeous presentation of the Word of God. So refreshing.
"I am not a homemaker because I had too little ambition or education to make anything else of myself.
No~~ I am a homemaker because God has given me the infinite honor of being a wife, and I delight in employing every ability that He has equipped me with, in this glad career." Mrs. Lanier Ivester
"Spend your time in nothing which you know must be repented of; in nothing on which you might not pray for the blessing of God; in nothing which you could not review with a quiet conscience on your dying bed; in nothing which you might not safely and properly be found doing if death should surprise you in the act."

During these tumultuous times I don't think we can be reminded of this comforting fact too often! Thanks for the encouragement. (o:

It seems we hear God better when things are tough.
I wish I would not need to go through these things to hear Him so well.
