Debyyyyyyy, I love those polka dots, sweetpea!! Oh my, now ya got me thinking about new chair covers........no no no no no.......I CANNOT think about this, chickee.......nuuuuuu not now...... *Sigh*............ Smooches, Connie
The chairs look great! Mine are in such bad shape I hate for anyone to have to sit on them! With my boys I need something more 'washable' next time...I think I'll try the oilcloth.
Hi Deby...love your polkas...how are you doing? You and your family have been in my prayers constantly....I hope you are in a good place emotionally....
Loved the post about your DD and Bare Minerals...I use it too and I JUST found out about the store..I know...duh...so now I have to go check it out. I got mine originally from QVC because I had a gift certificate from my MIL...so now I need to go check out the store and get some for my DD and her BFF for Christmas. Hugs, Robin
First idea I came up with is placemats. I can't remember whether oilcloth frays or not, but you could use pinking shears to cut the edges if it did. Some other ideas are here: http://oilcloth.com/projects.php How about a simple tote bag? Have fun!
Hi Deby!!! Love the chair covers!! With the remaining material you can make placemats or even just ribbons to tie around your napkins!!! Or tie a piece of ribbon in that material in your hair :):) (thats what I would do hahaa) Love Candy
My first visit here, you visited mine this morning. I LOVE your site here. I will definitely have to come back for more reading. Writing my blog has brought about contact with the most wonderful people, and it's so good to be reminded that there truly are many of us.
I love the chairs!
God bless you and yours this Christmas season. Conservative Pup
Deby, I love your chairs! I have a set of very similar chairs in need of a do-over, but for some reason, I had not considered oilcloth. Duh! I think it would wear a lot better than the options I had in mind. And how clever using the two different colors. I am definitely inspired!

"Spend your time in nothing which you know must be repented of; in nothing on which you might not pray for the blessing of God; in nothing which you could not review with a quiet conscience on your dying bed; in nothing which you might not safely and properly be found doing if death should surprise you in the act."

Now I want to make something with dots.
You and your husband did a fabulous job with your chairs and the polka dots look so cheerful :o)
Matching placemats would be my idea for the leftovers :o)
