Topsy-turvy

I found this Vintage looking doll at a yard sale.
I don't usually buy *stuffed things* but she passed the
*smell test* and came home.
She is a TOPSY TURVY doll. You can google that
if you want to make one yourself.
I thought she just had that old look and was a find...
$2-3.00...can't remember.

You flip the skirt over her head to have one version and then vice versa
As I was looking at her this scripture came to mind:

James 1:8
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

btw, she still is not named....
Deby

Here is a link for several different patterns...CLEVER

Oh, what a precious find! I have seen these little dolls and they are so cute. Just think, someone made this with their own hands. I say you found a little treasure!
Be a sweetie,

Deby - I had a Little Red Riding Hood Topsy Turvy doll when I was a little girl. First she was LRRH. Flip her skirt over and she was Grandma. Flip Grandma's Bonnet over her head (so it covered her face) turn (not flip) the doll around and it was the Big Bad Wolf dressed up like Grandma. (BBW's face was the back of Grandma's head - covered by her bonnet, of course.)

I was very sick in second grade ... missed over 2 weeks of school and lost the lead part in the Christmas play because I was still confined to bed when it was performed. My Dad went out and bought me that doll to help ease the pain and pass the time. I did love that doll! I think we finally threw it away when we moved 1 1/2 years ago. The moths had been at LRRH and Grandma. Some things are more dangerous than the Big Bad Wolf!

When I was a young girl, my friend had one of these, thought hers was Little Red Riding Hood one direction, and the Big Bad Wolf the other.

What a surprise to see your Topsy Turvy Doll! Aunt Sarah, now gone, made these dolls for both of my girls when they were little, as well as several outfits. My grand daughter loves them and has discovered the clothes fit her "Groovy Girls" dolls! The face is a little different on ours, a little daintier, perhaps. I will check out that pattern. Thanks for sharing this!

Blessings!
