A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.

reading the Bible

Since Sept. 30th
The day I was Saved last year
things have changed in my heart.
One thing is,
My Bible has come alive to me.
I can actually tell
when I MISS reading it for a day.
I can feel the difference.
I would say if
you can go through weeks or even days without
getting into the Word of God
you might be in trouble.
SPIRITUALLY
Read all of Psalms 119
to discover the importance
of HIS WORD.
~~ooOoo~~
Psalms 119:130
The entrance of thy words giveth light;
it giveth understanding unto the simple.
~~ooOoo~~

Good reminder. Taking it further . . . not just to read, but meditate on it and apply it.

I think I just commented on my defunct blogger ID. Can you delete that one Deby? Thanks.

Great words and I love your new header.

Hugs.

Great Scripture. I especially liked verse 36. The whole scripture fits in with today's Air 1 verse of the day which is Luke 6:49

SO TRUE! I handle the day much better, when I've started it with my Lord and Saviour!

One of my most favorite Psalms..where indeed the WORD and it's importance is magnified...as is also the HEART..

my fav..is Psalm 119:165
Great peace have they which love thy law:and nothing shall offend them.

Too often people go to the WORD looking for their comfort zone and not GOD's will and ways. It is so vital to heed the WORD as it says and not change it to suit us..

Praise the LORD for your growth and desires Deby..I pray the LORD blesses you with the desires of your heart as you seek to do his will.

How true, Deby. I was excited the other night when I really wanted to read the Word, even though I was exhausted. I thank God for working to bring me out of my spiritual slump.

How true, it is a living book, no He is a living Book!!
Love that verse!

Great reminder Deby,
So often we get so busy 'doing' that we don't take enough time to 'hear.'

I agree Deby! Daily prayer and Bible reading helps us stay spiritual. Something our Pastor shared years ago, was about dogs...the one you feed the most, will be the strongest and the other will be the weaker. So it is in our spiritual lives, if you feed the Spirit it will be stronger over the flesh! ;)

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I just read your salvation story. What a great story! We've had fourteen teenagers saved in our church since March of last year. Kids that have grown up in our church and have thought all this time they're saved, but really weren't. Kids, that if they had died before they were saved, our Pastor would have preached them to be in Heaven. Good kids! I tell ya, the devil loves to fool those who think they're living for God.

I can tell also when I have missed reading God's Word. I try not to let that happen, but there are just some of those days, you know?
